"What's your decision?" He asked looking at me. I smiled and didn't say anything, I just put my head on his shoulder. At first he didn't move and then I think he got the hint, he put his arm around my waist. He didn't lean his head on mine because of his bruise.
"I like you Jack. I really like you." I said. I looked up at him my head still on his shoulder.
"I like you to Elyssa, I think I always have." He said. That made my heart feel super warm. I sat up and looked at him, I laid back and put my head on his pillow. He slowly moved on top of me, he started to lean in and I let him, our faces were so close that I could feel his breath, he had morning breath still. Our lips were about to make contact when, ding-dong, the doorbell went off. He paused right over my lips, he smirked and pulled away. "Looks like we're gonna have to get the door." He said getting an even bigger smile on his face. I groaned and got up, we walked down stairs and saw his dad coming out of his room.
"Oh, hey Elyssa. How long have you been here?" He asked before yawning.
"Only about 15 or 20 minutes." I said.
"We were just about to see who was at the door." Jack said. I love his voice, it always makes me feel happy when I'm sad, or calm when I'm stressed.
"Oh okay, well I'm going to go back and lay down then." His dad said. He poured himself some coffee and then went back in his room. We went to the door and opened it, it was Emily.
"What the hell Lys, you never told me to come in." She said fuming.
"I did, but you weren't looking." I said. She frowned. "Listen I'll text you later, but I think I'm gonna hang out here for a while." I said, I grabbed jacks elbow and pulled it toward me. Emily clearly saw and nodded,
"Oh okay, well I'll talk to you later then." She said. She waved and went to her car. Jack shut the door and we went to the kitchen. He turned on the small tv that was in there and I sat at the bar.
"Do you have any cereal?" I asked.
"Frosted Flakes?" He asked grabbing the box. I nodded. He got out the milk.
"Oh I don't want-" he cut me off.
"Any in the bowl, but some in the cup on the side." He said smiling not looking up. He handed me my bowl and my milk. "You're my girl Elyssa, I know this stuff." He said. I melted.
"You're awesome jacky." I said eating my cereal. Jack made himself some cereal and then we went down to his basement. He turned on the big screen and we started watching Netflix. He turned on the office because that was his favorite, we got through half of an episode before I stopped him, "Hey you aren't supposed to be watching tv." I said reaching for the remote. He held it away from me.
"I'd rather suffer a few more headaches then die from boredom." He said. I smiled, Jack would rather do anything than die from boredom.
"Fine, but don't call me crying when your head hurts." I said. He smiled and looked at me,
"My head has hurt non stop since I woke up that night and told you I liked you, the pain killers haven't helped, but being with you has. It's like you're my medicine." He said. That made me happy to hear.
"Awe that's good to hear I'm glad I make you feel better." I said. I hugged him from the side. "Are we officially dating?" I asked out of the blue. Jack looked down at me and smiled.
"Well Elyssa Romeo, how would you like to be my girlfriend?" He asked. I smiled, even though it didn't really mean anything it was nice to here him and and be able to say,
"Yes absolutely!" I'm so happy. He smiled. He climbed on top of the me just like he did on his bed, our faces were so close he started to lean in and I closed my eyes. I didn't feel anything, I opened my eyes and our lips were probably a centimeter apart.
"Awesome." He said smiling. I love that smile. He leaned and kissed me and it instantly felt like we were in slow motion, my whole body was filled with warmth as Jack and my lips moved at the same time. He grabbed me by my waist and laid back leaving me on top of him, he started to put his hands up my shirt when I stopped him,
"Jack no." I said.
"Sorry." He said sitting up. I just ruined the moment. Or did he? Either way that was amazing. I looked at Jack and his face was red and he was breathing hard.
"I'm sorry, is this awkward?" I asked.
"No that was great." He said, I couldn't tell if he was blushing or if his face was just red but I think it was a little bit of both. I smiled and so did he,
"Yeah it was." I said. We sat there for a second and then Jack un paused the office and kept watching. I swear he was always watching this show. I scooched over to him and let him wrap his arms around me, because in his arms I felt like I was untouchable.
Note-Pretty boring chapter but that's ok.
