Jack stood up and took a step toward Emily. Finn stepped up towards Jack smiling and went to high five him, I don't think he realized what's happening. Jack ignored him and went right up to Emily. He stood right up to her face and just stood there staring right into her eyes. Emily kept looking away every few seconds, but Jack had some kind of cold dead gaze and his eyes never moved from that original spot. He took a deep breath let it out and then turned around and sat down next to me. What the hell was that. I looked in his eyes after he did and I could see energy in them it wasn't even close to the gaze he used with Emily. He did a cheek to cheek smiled that chunked his eyes, it was cute. I did it back, but not with as much enthusiasm as Jack did.

"What's wrong?" He whispered. I shook my head. "Lys I'm serious." He said pleading.

"Can I tell you upstairs? Away from everyone." I asked. By now our whole group had gotten to the stairwell. Jack and I made our way up the flight of steps to the second floor of the school, I looked at Jack he seemed very curious.

"Babe what's wrong?" He asked. I looked down and around and then back at Jack.

"That look you gave Emily, what was that?" I asked. He took a step back.

"What do you mean I? I just looked at her." He said defensive.

"Jack don't give me that bs! I've never seen you ever make that face. It was so different Jack, so-so cold and empty. It's like you tried to kill her with you eyes!" I said. Jack cleared his throat.

"Listen, you know how confident I am. I'm not afraid of anything or anyone, I'm short and skinny so I need thick skin. That's the look I gave her, it's everything I've had to put up with through the years. That same look I gave to bigger kids on basketball teams, kids who thought I was easy to push around. Yeah it's kind of like a death look, because it's hard to look into my eyes when I do it, because nothing moves, nothing happens." He said. I didn't know what to say.

"Jack I'm sorry I just-I. It just scared me. When you sat down next to my I could see the energy in your eyes you acted like nothing happened and that scared me." I said.

"I'm sorry, I just wanted Emily to step off. She's soft she won't back up anything, I just wanted to make sure." He said. What does he mean by that?

"Jack." I said. He looked at me and he gave me the exact same look he gave Emily. I felt like his eyes were trying to grab me. "Jack!" I yelled. And just like that his eyes went back to normal.

"Do you see what I mean now?" He asked. Yes. Seeing the way his eyes changed was so odd. It made me lose my train of thought.

"Uh yeah." I said. I didn't want to think about it anymore, I mean after all they were just eyes. We went back downstairs and everyone acted like we never left which was nice. We went to first period which was biology. Today we were dissecting frogs, Jack and I went to the table in the back corner with out frog and our knife.

"Jacky this is so gross." I said scrunching my face.

"Then I'll do it." He said smiling.

"You like doing that?" I asked.

"He's already dead it can't hurt him." He said back. He cut it stomach down the middle long wise, and then down across the other way. "See he's not even bleeding.

"Jack Grazer!" Mr.Clark yelled. "Where in my intrusions to did I tell you to start cutting the subject?! Bring me your scalpel you're done!" He yelled. Jack just looked at him. "Now!" He yelled. Jack slammed the knife down on the table and walked out of the room. Mr.Clark ran out of the room after him, "Where do you think you're going?" He yelled after him. The whole class has stopped, other teachers were looking out of their doors to see wharves happening.

"Fuck you!" Jack yelled.

"Excuse me?" Mr.Clark yelled back. "Go to the office!" All of the sudden a shoe hit Mr.Clark. Then he started running. I ran out of the room and out into the hall. Jack was sprinting down the hallway with Mr.Clark behind him. I looked down at the shoe, a gum colored era van, it was jacks. He was wearing gum vans with came joggers and a white hoodie with a red rose on the back. He always knew how to put an outfit together. He got to the end of the hall and ran right out the door and out of the school Mr.Clark stopped halfway down the hall he was gassed. I grabbed jacks shoe and put it in my bag so I could give it back to him. I decided to text him so he knew he'd get it back.

Lys-I have ur shoe, why'd you throw it?
Jack-I hate that guy so fuck him
Lys-Don't you think you took it too far?
Jack-No. I should've punched him in his face
Lys-Where are you now?
Jack-I'm in the office I figured I'd just go down there so I could get suspended now instead of tomorrow, but I'm def switching out of the class lol
Lys-Awe now it'll be just me
Jack-Welp I can't help you with that
Lys-Not anymore atleast.
Jack-Ok I have to go I'll text you later
Lys-Ok have fun good luck lol

I put my phone back in my pocket and went and sat in the back. Mr.Clark came over to me,

"Do you want a new frog?" He asked. I shook my head,

"No I don't like doing this so I figure wasting frogs is a bad thing. Plus I know Jack did what he was supposed to do because he did this last year." I said smiling. Mr.Clark looked so mad when he looked at the frog because I'm sure he knew it was right too. He sighed,

"Okay then." He said turning around and walking toward the front of the room, "Alright class, after that little show I'm sure all you want to do is talk about it, but you still need to keep working because your reflection is due at the end of the day. Great now I have to do the whole thing by myself. Thanks Jack.
