A Better Best Friend

The next morning I got up and tried not to wake up Jack. It's gonna be a little weird if my mom is about to leave for work and then Jack comes down stairs, but it's whatever. I went in the bathroom and brushed my teeth and then used some mouth wash. I walked back into my room swishing the mouth wash around in my mouth. I grabbed some white nike socks, white converse, light blue jeans and a black University of Maryland hoodie. I sat on my bed to put my shoes and socks on when Jack grabbed my elbow,

"Good morning sun shine." He said tired. I looked the at him with tears in my eye because other the burning from the mouth wash. He laughed , "Awe what's the matter." He poked my cheek and I spit a little at him. He screamed, "AH! Ew that's gross." He said. He laid back revealing his whole upper body and of course, his abs. He stretched flexing them, I couldn't control myself,  reached and felt his abs and boy oh boy were they hard. "Oh." He said shocked. "You like those?" He asked. I smiled and winked. Then I got up and went to the bathroom to spit out my mouthwash and drink some water. I walked back into my room,

"Yep I love 'em." I said smiling. I walked over to him and he tried to kiss me.  I put a finger over his lips and smiled at him.

"What?" He asked. I grabbed my back pack.

"I have to go to school." I said. He laid back and put his arm over his eyes.

"Well then I have. Tf.  to go back to sleep." He said.

"When are you gonna go home?" I asked. He frowned,

"You want me to go home?" He asked.

"No actually I don't. I was wondering if I'd get to see you when I come home or if you'd be gone by then." I said. He looked up thinking.

"I'll stay here for you. I just hope I don't get bored." He said smiling.

"Well there an Xbox in the basement and I know that you play Xbox." I said. His eyes lit up.

"That's a major bet, I forgot all about that Xbox. Wait. How long do your parents stay?" He asked.

"My dad will take Garret to school in 30 minutes." I said. Jack nodded. "My mom will take Darian to the doctors and then school in about 2 hours so you can just chill out up here, but try not to make too much noise and put a shirt on." I said.

"Elyssa you need to go or you'll be late!" My mom yelled.

"Coming!" I yelled. (Just like Mike in that episode of stranger things)
"I'll see you when I get home have a wonderful day my suspended boy." I said.

"Yeah tease me some more." He said smiling.

"Bye." I said smiling and waving as I walked out the door.

"Bye have a good day!" He quietly yelled back. I walked down the steps grabbed an orange and walked out the door. Emily was just getting into her car so I ran across the street.

"I thought you'd never come, what took so long?" She asked pulling out of my drive way.

"I was talking to Jack." I said.

"What did you call him?" She asked.

"No he slept over last night." I said laughing.

"You guys are allowed to have sleepovers even though you're dating?" She asked. I looked down and didn't say anything. "Your parents don't know?" She asked.

"We don't want them to not let us have sleep overs and they keep hinting at it." I said defensively.

"Are you guys having sex already?" She asked.

"No!" I yelled back. "We just, well, I just want it to be seem like we're still just friends, but we're not. Garrett walked in on us making out though." I said.

"Uh oh." She said easing her eyebrows, but keeping her eyes on the road. She's so good at staying focused.

"Yeah by the way. He wants a ride to the movies from you or else he's telling my parents." I said quickly.

"What!" She yelled. "Why can't Jack take him?" She asked looking at me and then back at the road.

"Jack has a learners permit he can't drive Garrett without a parent in the car." I said.

"Or what?" She said after a quick silence.

"What do you mean or what?" I asked.

"What happens if I don't take him." She asked.

"I said hell tell my parents." I said back.

"But will you get in trouble or will they get excited?" She asked.

"I'm sure they would be excited because it's Jack, but that's kit the point. We won't be able to hang out the same way anymore and it will get awkward between us and our parents. I want things with Jack and I to stay the same that's why I didn't want to date him in the first place." I said. Emily nodded.

"Fine I'll do it." She said. I yelled.

"Yay you're the best friend ever." I said.

"Under one condition however." She put up 1 finger keeping both hands on the wheel though. I looked at her, "You have to set me up with Jaeden." She said.

"Jaeden Lieberher?!" I yelled. She nodded. "I barely talk to him!"

"Jack does. He's cute please just try to set us up together." She said pleading.

"Fine I'll talk to Finn." I said. Finn was closer to Jaeden than Jack was, but they were all still good friends.

"Thanks so much." She said. She pulled into the school and parked in her usual spot. Then we walked back to our stairwell only to see something crazy. Jaeden was kissing Sophia Lillis. Emily stopped and looked away. "Are you kidding me?" She whispered to me.
