A Better Best Friend

Jack POV:
Finn sat down next to me, he didn't say anything he just put his arm around me. I started to cry harder and he pulled me closer to him.

"I didn't mean to do it Finn." I said taking a breath between sobs. "I didn't mean to upset it's just, I just thought that once I got into it she'd be fine, but I ignored her knowingly and just ruined everything with my favorite person in the whole world. This is the biggest mistake I've ever made Finn." I turned and looked at him. He was staring at the sidewalk in front of us and then slowly looked up at the moon. I pushed him, "Say something man!" I yelled.

"What am I supposed to say Jack? I didn't do it, you did. I don't know how to fix this. I don't know her as well as you do, so you'd be the best one to patch things up with her." He said calmly never looking away from the moon. I stood up and started walking away.

"Thanks for nothing jackass." I kept walking without looking back.

"Says the one who just tried to rape his best friend." Finn said. From behind me. I stopped and turned around. He was standing in the sidewalk just like I was.

"Excuse me?" I asked. I'm pissed, how dare he say something like that, I feel like I'm boiling inside.

"You heard me Jack. It's fucked up, and you're sad that she broke up with you? What's wrong with you man?" He asked just standing there. I walked up to him and grabbed him by his collar.

"You don't know me as well as you think you do Finn!" I yelled in his face. He pushed my hand away and then pushed me.

"That's hard to believe considering you tell me everything!" He yelled back. At this point we were both soaked in the rain. The front door opened, the girls were standing there not saying anything. I balled up my fist and took one step towards Finn and he leaned backwards like he was anticipating a punch.

"You don't trust me." I said. I dropped my fist. Looked at the girls and then up at Elyssa's window, they all looked scared. I looked down at the ground feeling defeated. "Great, now none of you trust me." I turned and started to walk home. After I'd gotten halfway down the street I turned and looked back, everyone was inside except for one person. Elyssa.
