"No Nick. I'm almost there. I'll handle it." Nick called me after my meetings, saying that, since there was no security guard around today, the fans were stepping onto our property and were knocking on the door all the time and stuff.
I really do appreciate my fans but it was stuff like this that was a no-go for me. Standing infront of our house was one thing but really invading our space was another thing.
"They also flew a drone into the backyard." He told me. "Are you serious?" I groaned. Invading our privacy was also a no-go. "I'm here." I told him as I parked Jake's truck in the driveway, careful so I didn't run over anyone. We really needed to move. I couldn't handle it anymore. "I'm coming inside to get the drone and then telling them to go." I told Nick and hung up as I scanned the crowd of shouting fans for someone with a drone controller. By the front door stood a boy with snap back, holding one.
For now I let them all stand in our driveway because I needed to get the drone first. So I walked inside. Nick already stood by the stairs, holding the drone out to me. His fingers were covering the camera lens. Held it out to me and I grabbed it. "Can you put my stuff somewhere?" I asked, holding my purse and laptop out to him. "Yeah." Nick nodded and grabbed it out of my hands. Then I walked back outside.
I walked up to the kid holding the drone controller. He looked a little intimated as I stood in front of him. "Please don't fly a drone into our backyard or around our house. We want our privacy too." I said nicely and held the drone out to him. He nodded. "Sorry." He mumbled shyly and took the drone back. "Just don't do it again." I smiled slightly. Once that was done I turned to everyone standing on our property. "Everyone please get off the property!" I said loud so the ones who stood outside too. They shouldn't even think it was okay to do that. The kids didn't move. I didn't want to get rude with them but I was mad that they would even do that.
This time I only turned to the few kinds inside the driveway. "Guys. Get out. I love y'all but this is going to far." I said as I ushered them out. Slowly they started moving out. I was moving them towards the little gate by the side. They had to squeeze and I was a little scared someone would get hurt but they needed to get off. "Come on. Everyone move back!" I shouted so the people in the back could hear me.
A mom in the front was starting to really piss me off though. She kept say I should be careful and that these kids made me famous. "Ma'am." I sighed, having heard enough. "I know these kids helped my career and I'm thankful but this house is not a zoo and we are not animals you can watch all day. You as a grown woman shouldn't even stand here and watch kids invade someone's property and privacy. I don't know about you but my Mom raised me better than that." I tried to say it as kindly as possible. "That's just rude of you to say." The mother snapped. "No. You're acting rude. I'm trying to get my point across kindly. I'm not even touching the kids and you are telling me to be careful. Do you know what it means not being able to relax inside your own home because there are constantly people outside of it?I love these kids, I really do but I don't appreciate that my private life can't even be private anymore." I told her. "My kids will never watch you and your friends again." She scoffed. "If you say so. That is your own decision but let me tell you that right now you are not acting like a mother should act. But have a nice day." With that I closed the gate and locked it. I was aware that people could still jump over it but I just hoped they wouldn't.
With a sigh I entered the house again. "You're too nice to people." Someone said. I looked up and saw Anthony coming down the stairs. "Sorry, I like to keep a good reputation." I replied, rolling my eyes. "That woman was rude to you and you let her." He said. "Just because someone treats me badly doesn't mean I have to stoop down to their level Anthony." I pointed out and walked to the office.
"It's handled. At least for now." I told Nick as I passed him and grabbed my stuff from his table. "Thanks Rae." He replied. I just gave a short nod and then went to my office desk to work on some emails once again.
That's what I had planned until Jake came and sat down next to me. "How are you?" He asked me, a smile on his face. "I'm good." I answered, typing a reply to an email from our agent Joe. "Do you now wanna talk about what happened with Landon?" He asked. "Nope." I said. "Was it that bad?" Jake asked. I just shrugged. What did he not get when I said I didn't want to talk about it? "Just tell me one thing.." Jake sighed. I turned my head to him, waiting for him to ask. "Did he hurt you?" The blonde asked quietly. "Physically? No. Mentally? Probably." I replied. "Now end of this topic." I quickly said, seeing Jake opened his mouth again to say something. "But-" I cut him off. "No Jake." I shook my head. "Ugh, fine." He grumbled. "I gotta go film." He said and stood up. "Have fun." I replied, turning back to my computer.
I wasn't ready to talk about what happened between me and Landon. It was hard for me because he had promised me that he'd never hurt me and treat me like a queen but somehow he broke that promise. Not through one single action..it took me some time to even realize what he was doing to me, how he was treating and there was nothing good about the relationship anymore..
