Illegible Kisses

Chapter Eleven

I woke up really early nobody was awake , which was good. I went to the restaurant to have breakfast alone , which was more than amazing. I ordered country sandwish with orange juice and took out my phone and turned it on. Some missed calls , some voice calls and messages. I checked them all and stopped at a message from her. 

i'm sorry i ended the phone call like that. goodnight 

It's so strange because it made me smile. My breakfast was in front of me but I didn't touch it. I was so busy reading it again , imagining how her face was like while typing those words. I decided to send her a reply so she didn't have to feel she's guilty.

I sent it and began to enjoy my meal. I was thinking about swimming but not now. Make it midnight. The best timing.  I finished , paid and went to have a walk. 

But of course I wasn't lucky. 

They all went out and the coach prepared them to run across the woods. He really is close now to Joy. She is one of his favorite students which was expected. After that match , he has to. I saw her standing and talking to her friends. 

"Mr. Simmons , how are you ?" Matt called as I was passing by them. I was really surprise but I had the ability to hide it. 

"Fine Edwards. Have fun everyone." I said and she looked at me with a smile. I didn't smile back and continued with my walking. Her face changed and continued her conversation with the others.

He did that for something. We have never talked so why did he do that ? Did he find something out ? Did she tell him something ? That was so weird but I didn't give a care. I'm getting what I want. 

I returned back to my warm cabin and rested my body. I was in this position the whole day. I didn't go out , I didn't want to eat , I didn't want to do anything. I didn't know I was so angry from myself , how obvious I was , from how he was looking at me , like , like disrespecting me.  

My thoughts were interrupted by knocking on the door. 

"Who ?" I called and found no reply. 

"Joy Bolter." She said and I jumped from my place towards the door. I opened to find her standing with a maxi dress making her look amazing. I was confused , why did she come ?
"We're having a small competition just for fun. All of us even the teachers are coming. Would you like to join ?"

Her voice was shaky. She didn't look at my face a lot. She was kinda sad again. I wanted to hug her and ask her what was going with her , but I didn't. I wasn't feeling like hugging and kissing to make her feel better. It's not even me.

"I don't think I will come." She nodded.

"Oh okay. Have a nice day Mister." She had said before going away. I was about to close the door until I saw her turn around to look at me. She wanted to say something instead , she smiled and went away.

Did I do something ? There must be something. The way he looked at me wasn't a thing like yesterday. I wish he's not mad of me or something. I don't know why but I didn't want him to. I don't have to feel anything towards him , he's older than me , he's my teacher but . Yeah I like talking to him. Yesterday I was really happy listening to his voice before sleeping. I know I shouldn't but that was what I had felt. 

But what happened today ? 

I went out to the gathering where we decided to meet but now I wasn't in the mood to be there. I went to them and my face was changed they noticed. Even if I try so hard to smile , it will still look fake.
