Stevie collapsed on the bed, her chest heaving up and down as she tried to capture her breath. She looked over at Lindsey who was having the same struggles, giggling."Fuck you're amazing." He panted out, his arm thrown over his shoulder. His face was beat red, as was Stevie's, sweat covering their bodies.
"You're not so bad yourself."
Lindsey grinned, leaning back over her, capturing her lips in a kiss. His tongue tangled around hers, Stevie moaning heavily against his mouth.
Pushing him back on to his back, she straddled him, her hand wrapping around his member and stroking him hard again. Raising herself up, she positioned his member, sliding all the way back down, her eyes falling shut and her teeth sinking in to her bottom lip.
She began lifting herself up and down, grinding her hips against his. She moaned, his hands gripping her hips, helping her move.
He thrusted upwards each time she brought herself down, Stevie crying out. "Fuck! Yes!"
"Baby you're so good." A hand covered her breast, Stevie covering it with her own hand and making him squeeze harder.
"I'm going to come!" Her gasps were repetitive and short, her eyes clenched shut.
"Oh my god!"
The words didn't come from either one of them, Stevie quickly rolling off of him, scrambling to hide under the covers. She looked over, wild eyed, to see Karen retreating back in to the hall, her face red.
"I'm sorry, I-just, I..." her assistant fumbled her words. "I'm going to go."
The door shut behind her, Stevie and Lindsey both shocked, their chests heaving up and down.
"I think I just had a heart attack."
Stevie nodded in agreement, lifting the covers off of her. Lindsey watched her questioningly. "Where are you going?"
"To go see what she wanted."
Lindsey nodded, grinning as he watched her nude body reaching for her robe.
"What?"
"Come back soon."
Stevie smiled, leaning over to kiss him. Standing straight, she tightened her robe, making the walk of shame down the stairs and in to the kitchen where her assistant resided. She eyed her as she walked over to the coffee pot. "Ever heard of knocking?"
"I'm sorry Stevie, I didn't know he was in your room, or that you two were...you know."
Stevie waved her hand, letting it go. "It's fine."
"So?'
"So?" Stevie raised an eyebrow in question, turning to face Karen with a cup of coffee in her hands.
"So nothing's going on between you two?" She repeated Stevie's past words to her.
Stevie rolled her eyes, sipping her coffee.
"Look, Stevie I know he saved your life and all but don't let that get in the way of your thinking."
"What does that mean?" She narrowed her eyes.
"He's a knight coming in on his white horse, you're swept up in the heroism of it. How much do you really know about him? When's his birthday, what's his favorite color?"
"His birthday is October third and his favorite color is green."
Karen sighed. "Stevie I'm only looking out for you."
"I know you mean well, but Karen you don't understand. I don't have to think with him, things just come naturally. I'm not blinded by some stupid stereotype where he saves the damsel in distress and we fall madly in love, he's real, and we have actual conversations. I love him and..."
Stevie fell silent, cutting herself off as Karen's eyes went wide.
"You love him?"
"I, I didn't mean.." She fumbled over her words, becoming flustered. "It just came out, I was ranting."
"But the words were there in your subconscious. You love him Stevie."
Stevie held her breath, her heart pounding. "So what if I do?"
"You don't have to be scared of this Stevie, if it's how you feel it's how you feel. There's nothing you can do about it."
"I'm going back to bed." She quickly retreated from the kitchen, stopping at the doorway. "Please knock next time."
She made her way back up the stairs, entering her bedroom to see Lindsey sitting up in bed, going through his phone. He glanced up at her briefly, giving her a small smile. "Hey."
"Hey." She climbed back in to bed, scooting close to him and laying her head on his shoulder. "What chya doing?"
"Just going through some messages Michael sent me."
"Anything important?"
Lindsey shook his head, setting his phone down on the bedside. He wrapped his arm around her, squeezing her. "What are you thinking about?"
Stevie's heart was racing, pulling away enough to look up at him. "Lindsey?"
"Hmm?"
"I lo-"
She was cut off by his phone ringing, giving her an apologetic look. "Sorry."
Stevie shook her head, watching as he answered.
"Hey Michael?....No, I can be there, give me twenty minutes."
He hung up, setting his phone back down. "What were you saying?"
She shook her head, giving him a forced smile. "Nothing, it's not important."
Lindsey nodded, climbing out of bed and searching for his jeans. Finding them, he began tugging them on, Stevie giving him a sad smile. "You have to go?"
"Yeah, Michael needs extra security for some event going on downtown, it should only be a couple hours."
"Alright." She sat in bed, watching as he got dressed. She felt a wave of sadness wash over here, shrugging it off.
"I can come back when I'm done, if you want me to."
Stevie nodded. "That would be nice."
He had finished dressing, leaning over the bed to reach her. He caressed the back of her head, pressing his lips against her forehead. "I'll see you later."
"Bye."
"Call me if you need anything."
Stevie nodded, sulking as she watched him walk away. She flopped back on the bed, sighing.
