"Please! Just tell me where he is!"

"Ma'am you're not family and you're not on his emergency contact list, I can't give you that information."

Tears of frustration were rolling down her face, Stevie biting down on her lips. She was just about to go in to another round of pleading when she heard her name being called.

"Michael!" She rushed towards Lindsey's coworker. "Where is he?"

"Stevie breathe!" He laid his hands on her shoulders, trying to settle her down.

"Where is he?"

"I don't know."

"Is he ok?"

"I don't know."

Stevie was growing frustrated, shoving his hands away as she started to pace. "What do you mean you don't know!"

"He's still in surgery."

She collapsed in a nearby chair, overwhelmed with sobs. Her hands smoothed over her face, holding her breath. "What happened?"

Michael sighed, sinking in to the chair next to Stevie's. "We were working the venue, the guy came out of nowhere and just started shooting."

Stevie felt anger course through her, her hands gripping the arms of the chair. "I need to see him."

"Nobody can see him right now, he's still in surgery."

She let out a whimper, Michael sitting next to her and wrapping his arm around her shoulder. "Stevie he's going to be ok."

She shook her head. "You don't know that."

"I know he will, he's gone through much worse than this."

Stevie sniffled, feeling her head being turned to the side. She looked at him in confusion as he drew closer, pressing his lips against hers. She gasped, Michael taking the opportunity to snake his tongue in to her mouth, holding on to the sides of her face tightly.

She smacked at his shoulder repeatedly, finding the strength to shove him away. "What the fuck is wrong with you!"

"I'm sorry, did I misread that?"

"What the hell was there to read? You're best friend is laying in a hospital bed right now! The man that I love is laying in a hospital bed right now!"

Michael shrugged. "I felt a moment."

Stevie looked at him in disgust, putting as much space between them as she could. "You're disgusting."

"You can't the deny the chemistry between us Stevie."

"What fucking chemistry!" He went to reach for her hand, Stevie smacking him away. "Do not touch me! You are unbelievable!"

Tears of frustration rolled down her cheeks, quickly wiping them away. "Stay away from me."

"Stevie-"

"Don't!" She cut him off, standing and putting distance between them. Shooting him a glare, she disappeared through the hospitals entrance, her fists clenched.
