"We'll be in contact." Karen smiled, showing the man to the door, her smile fading as the door closed behind him. She walked back into the living room, seeing Stevie's disapproving face. "What was wrong with that one?"
"He said he'd have a pleasure guarding my body then starred at my breasts the whole time. Absolutely not."
Don nodded in agreement. "I don't like him."
"You two are impossible." Karen let out a heavy sigh, flopping down into a chair. "You're not interviewing for a new best friend, we've interviewed four people and each one you've had something to say about, you can't be so closed minded."
"I don't want some pervert watching over me! That's not to much to ask."
"Alright, alright." She stopped her bosses ranting, sighing as the door bell rang. "I got it." She heaved herself up, disappearing into the other room.
"Stevie she's right, the goal here is to keep you safe."
"I know that Don, but I'm not going to be around someone I'm uncomfortable with."
"Baby you barely have to even interact with them, they'll just be here to keep you safe."
"The only reason I'm going along with this is because you two insisted, if we're doing this we're doing it my way." He held back an eye roll, they're attention perking up as Karen returned with a man by her side.
A smile toyed on Stevie's lips, meeting his blue eyes. "You?"
Lindsey chuckled. "Me."
"I don't think we've been formally introduced. She stood up, taking his out reached hand. Her heart fluttered when his strong grip held her delicate one, shaking it off. "I'm Stevie."
"Lindsey." He smiled before sitting down on the couch across from her, Karen settling in the chair next to him.
"How long have you been doing this?" Karen began questioning him, scribbling down in her notebook.
"For as long as I could remember, my father ran the agency so it's kind of a family trade."
"Well you seem to have plenty of experience." Stevie grinned, her mind already made up. Don and Karen looked over at her surprised she was actually engaging.
"Indeed."
"Have you done all around the clock protection before?" Don questioned, already taking a disliking to the man.
"No, I can't say I have. But there's really not much of a difference. You want me to keep you safe, I'll keep you safe. Simple as that."
"You do realize you'd be required to live in this vicinity. You'd have Sunday's off starting at five am, ending at ten pm."
Lindsey nodded. "I'm well aware, I went over the email you sent my partner."
"And what can you ensure if we do hire you?"
"Well you won't end up dead, isn't that enough."
Don and Karen shared a look, a forced smile placed on her face. "Well, we'll go over-"
"You're hired." Stevie interrupted, a large smile sprawled across her face, her eyes locked with the man across from her.
"S-Stevie, we're not done with the interview."
"I don't care, I've heard all I needed to. Can you start on Monday?"
"Absolutely." Lindsey smiled back at her.
