So.... I don't know whether to be offended or amused.
Long ago I learned a recipe from a friend and then I improved on it and made it my own. I started cooking it for dinner and everyone liked it. My mom asked about it. I told her how I made it.
Fast forward a bit.
I made the recipe for a party. My aunt loved it and asked for the recipe. Eventually, she makes her own version of it with fewer spices.
Fast forward some more.
She teaches that version to my mom.
Fast forward to tonight.
My mom asks me to help with dinner then says never mind because I don't know about that recipe.......
Even my little sister rolled her eyes when my mom said that.
I'm the one that brought it into the family lol.
Oh and the version she makes is WAAAAAAAAAY simplified. I know I sound biased but like, hers lacks flavor and creativity in every way. And it hardly has any spices at all!
Long story short, one day I'm gonna create a recipe book and trademark everything in it lol
