It's nearing the end of the school year again so here comes the shizload of stress!
The school concert and Music at the Parks is all done but on Wednesday, I have guild which is a test where I'm graded on piano. I'm in intermediate B so I have to memorize a song from each of the four mucis eras; baroque, romantic, classical, and contemporary. On top of that I have to do two octave scales of the keys of each song and first chord inversions. Emphasis on memorize.
I'm the pianist for my school's jazz band and we also have a keyboarder. He is better than me in jazz, I can honestly say that and I was plannimg to depend on him for the Music in the Parks competition. He bailed out a week before so I was flipping out, already being so busy with guild.
The song I'm most scared about messing up is an etude. It's not too too difficult but I play it slower than it should be played. Hopefully I'll get some good practice in tomorrow.
Oh yeah, finals. Heh. Heh. No.
Oh well... As a wise nerd once said, "keep moving forward!"
