“Hey man! Why weren’t you at lunch today.” Michael says taking a seat next to me on the bed. “Oh okay, stomach flu. Makes sense. Hey you still throwing the party next weekend right?” He says. And I get excited. A party!? I haven’t drank in at least two weeks and I was dieing to have a buzz.
Michael has a conversation with Luke for another 20 minutes and it the most uncomfortable thing to sit though. Michael continues to stare at me for the whole conversation. “Hey Luke, me and Grace have a lot of homework to do, i’ll talk to you later man.” Michael says smoothly and hangs up the phone.
He throws the phone on the ground and climbs into bed. It’s almost 11 and I was exhausted.
“Go to sleep baby.” Michael says to me. Each time he utters that word it send shivers down my spine.
“Mikey, what are you doing?” I say to him. “I don’t know. But it feels right.” I lean in and kiss him hoping he kisses me back. When he applies the same amount of pressure that he does I feel satisfied with myself.
We kiss for almost an hour until our bodies are found tangled together in a deep slumber.

I wake up in the morning to find myself alone in bed. It was nice while it lasted I supposed?
I climb out of bed and downstairs before Karen would wake me up. I grab toast and two apples for breakfast. When I finish eating I change into leggings and band tee. I throw on some old comfortable converses to remain simple.
When I return downstairs thirty minutes later Michael is already in his car waiting for me. We both choose not to say anything to each other.
This continues for the next week. Me and Michael share no contact or talk to each other until lunch on Friday.
“So do you want to go to Luke’s party tonight?” Michael questions.
“Yeah sure, are we drinking?” I ask. “Yeah most likely, I got it though. Were going to pre-game at the dorms. And we may stay the night over there. Is that okay?” He elaborates. I’m surprised that he actually gives a fuck about my opinion, especially when he hasn’t cared before.
“Yeah that works.” I say simply.
“Okay, we’ll go home after our classes and get ready and pre-game on campus yeah?” He says, he makes me feel so involved and its weird because I feel like he actually cares what I think.

After classes and finally getting back to the house, we got ready to head back on campus for the party. I showered, got dressed and I headed downstairs to wait for Michael. I was wear high waisted shorts and a crop top with doc martens. When he came downstairs he was wearing a Def Leppard t-shirt, with a flannel that had cut sleeves, he was wearing black skinny jeans and converses.
He looked really hot and I didn’t want to admit it, but my crush for Michael was growing. Yeah I had my fair share in assholes but he definitely takes the cake. Something about him when he was gently with me was enough. Enough to make me feel really good.
I need to rid myself of these thoughts because I know he doesn’t give a shit about me. Sitting next to him in the car was torture. Just a couple hours ago I was straddling him, and I couldn’t help but want to jump over and repeat my actions.
“We’re here.” He says taking me out of my thoughts. “Change of plans a bit, I decided we’d just go straight to Luke’s.” He adds while getting out of the car.
“Oh okay.” I reply. His house was pretty big and I was excited to drink. We walk in through the back door and it leads straight into the kitchen. There was already a shit ton of people there so we had to squeeze through to get cups.
“You drink right?” Michael asks. “Yup!”
“You fine with Jack?” He says while taking the fresh bottle out of the freezer. “I’m down.”
“Here I’m going to pour you 6 shots into your cup okay and I’m going to go.Don’t drink it all at one time. And don’t go far, and stay where I can see you. Don’t go upstairs, outside, or to the bathroom without telling me. Are we clear?” He commands.
“Geeze. Yes dad.” I say jokingly. He catches my wrist and pulls me in. My head cocks to the side slightly afraid of what he’s about to do. “Don’t talk to any guys, I’m watching you babe.” I gasp as his breath is hot and his voice is so low. My hearing is about to give out. I turn my head to see Michael already walking out of the kitchen. I felt so alone. I needed to find one of the guys because honestly I didn’t know anyone else.
I feel a few taps on my head and I turn around to see Calum. His face was red and his eyes were pretty low. “Doing alright there bud?” I say jokingly. He nudges my shoulder and chuckles. “I drank too much Grace.” He says loudly. Drunk people never know how to use their inside voices.
I suddenly felt a pair of arms around me, thinking it was Michael I hugged back and pressed my butt into him. I cock my head to the side to see it was Luke. “Luke!! Hey.” I turn around and give him a huge squeeze. “Nice party!” I yell at him, the music was blaring and I couldn’t hear my own thoughts.
“Yeah, thanks. Are you going to drink that or just stare at it?” He pushes. “Oh, I was waiting for a drinking buddy, and I guess I found mine! Go get something, quick!” Luke turns around and grabs two beers for himself.
“Cheers, to a pretty lady.” He says while raising his beer. “Awe thanks!” He gush. “Umm. I was talking about me.” He says sassily. “Get over yourself and drink up princess.” I take two gulps the the Jack and allowed the liquor to warm my soul. “Lets do another, and grab Calum!” I announce to Luke.
Luke walks over to Calum and grabs him and the girl was literally attached to him. “Let’s drink to new friendships??” I say. Luke places his arm around me as we all cheers. I lean into him and take my drink.
I look down the hallway to see and angry Michael staring at me and Luke.
