I wake up in Luke’s arms. Are limbs are tangled, yet we sleep comfortably. I was so warm and I didn’t want to get out of bed. I feel Luke shake from my grasp turning over to face opposite of me. “Can we skip classes today?” He says, his voice still hoarse from just waking up.
“No Luke, get up. We need to go.” I say getting out of bed. I walk into the bathroom and wash my face and brush my teeth. I walk out of the bathroom to see Luke snoring again. “LUKE!” I whine. “Fine, fine. I’m getting up.” He groans.
He finally stands up and walks to the bathroom. He catches me by surprise when he hugs me from behind. “Hey, thank you for staying with me.” He whispers. I turn around to face him and place my arms behind his neck. “Anytime.” I say shortly and feel his lips against my cheek. My stomach flutters a bit and my body is cold when Luke turns and walks to the bathroom.

After about 30 minutes or so we make it to the car and find our way to campus. “Are we meeting up with the guys?” I ask cautiously. I was a little scared to see what Michael was going to do or say. It was apparent that me and Luke stayed the night together.
“Yeah, we always meet up!” He grins. “Oh okay, cool.” I mutter under my breath. great, just great. More drama will coming my way. The rest of the drive was in silence, I occasionally catch Luke staring at me. I notice he plays with his lip ring when he is nervous. He just turns his face towards the road and starts to bit his lip nervously.
We finally pull up into an empty parking space to Calum’s car and we see that Calum and Michael are the only ones there. We get out of the car and I sling my bookbag over my shoulders awkwardly trying to avoid Michael’s gaze.
“Hey.” I say casually, still looking away. “Hey goodmorning!” Calum says excitingly. “Umm, Grace can I talk to you in private.” Michael mutters, I can feel tension in his voice. I’m scared to look at him, and I feel like he’s burning a hole through my head with his eyes. “Umm, whatever you want to say to me. You can say it here.” I whisper, my voice failing me yet again.
I immediately feel Luke standing next to me. He throws an arm over my shoulder and I relax into him. It was a pretty bold move, but hey Michael could handle it. I smirk at myself for being a bitch but he deserved it, and having Luke next to me gave me a little bit of confidence.
“Hey are you walking me to class today?” I say looking up at Luke. He leans his tall frame away from me to get a better view. He smiles at me and then looks at Michael and then looks at me. In a frantic way.. “What?” I say.
I look at Michael and see a smirk on his face. “Uh, actually I have to meet with Ashton! I’ll see you guys later. Come on Cal.” He says walking away dragging Calum with him. Leaving me there with Michael… Oh God..
“What did you just do?!” I shouted at him. “Are you fucking Luke, my best friend Grace, really?!” He yells back at me and walks closer to me. “No we aren’t fucking Michael. Relax. Why do you give a shit anyway. You have Layla to worry about.” I huffed and stormed off.
I feel him pull me back in by my wrist. He looked a little hurt and defeated. “Look, what I had with Layla was different okay? She was my first love. You have to understand.” He says with sincerity. I smile weakly and look away from him. I already feel myself giving in.
“Just stop, will you?” I say pushing him back. “Look Grace, I don’t give a shit. You aren’t allowed to see Luke, or talk to any guys. Do you hear me?” He growls. “What are you saying Michael? You can’t keep me away from everyone…”
He pulls me in by my waist and breathes hot air onto my neck and ear. “I can keep you from whoever I want, because I want you all to myself.”
