They walked slowly behind me and I was ready to break out into a full sprint so Michael wouldn’t get angry with me. I was scared to face his frustration.
We walk into subway and we see Luke, Ashton, Michael, and Layla. Why. Michael was at the end of the table with a free seat next to him. I told Ashton to move so Maria could sit by me. “Hey Luke can you move?” Calum says eyeing him and gesturing toward Mar. “Oh uh yeah.” He says while pulling up a chair on the other side of Michael.
“Hey.” I say turning to Michael. He leans in and places a kiss on my lips, I smile in response. He cuts his sandwich in half with a knife and hands me the other half. “Thanks.” I say. “Oh how cute.” Layla groans. “Why the fuck are you even here?” I say to her. “Woah, watch it.” She warns. “I really don’t give a fuck. So what’s up?” I say standing up. “Grace, come on.” Luke grabs my wrist and walks me outside.
“No fuck her. Why the fuck is she even around?” I spit. “Look just calm down.” Luke says while placing his hands on my shoulders. I sigh a bit and relax. “But you know this all fucked up Luke.” I say with my head down. “Hey its fine. I promise.” He comforts me.
“I got this man, thanks.” Michael says walking outside. “Oh, I’m sorry man. Nothing was happening. Sorry.” Luke rambles. “I got it, man. It’s fine.” He says patting Luke on the back while he walks inside.
“What’s going on?” Michael questions. “I don’t fucking like her. And she’s trying to get you back. Don’t you see?”
“Yes. Grace, I’m aware.” He says shortly. “That’s it? You’re aware. Ha, okay then. I’m leaving.” I spit. “Don’t act like your angel. We both fucked up alright, just calm down.” He mutters. “Don’t tell me to calm down okay.” I groan. “Okay, I’m sorry. Just come here.” He says reaching for my hand. He wraps his arms around my waist and bends down. “We will figure this out. Okay, we need to be patient with each other. I’m hurting too.” He says slowly.
“What’s going on?” I ask him. He sighs deeply before continuing. “Okay, so after you and Luke… You know. It made me think about when Layla and Ashton.. Kinda…” He doesn’t finish. “Wait, they did what?” I ask him flabbergasted “What the fuck. They didn’t??” I question him again. “Yeah… but we were actually dating, I’ll explain.” He says pulling away from me and sitting me down on the bench.
“Hey Grace! I’ll see you later! I’m gonna head to the dorms.” Maria says while Calum walks behind her. “Where are you going Cal?” Michael questions. “Oh I’m walking her.” He says with a smirk. “Okay, have fun you too… Calum give Mar my number please!” I call to him, and they walk away from us.
As they leave Michael tells us the story of what happened when him and Layla started dating. He goes into telling me how she lied about everything she did, and she even asked Michael for a ride after she had sex with Ashton. “Oh shit.” I say when he’s finally done. “You can say that again, next time I’ll tell the story myself babe. I think I tell it better.” Layla says walking out of Subway. “Fuck off.” Michael spits to her. “Oh please, why don’t you keep Gracie in your sight? Otherwise she might start fucking Luke again. Not my business though. Goodbye and have a good one.” She chuckles as she walks down the street. “Fuck you!” Michael yells at her, although she keeps walking. Michael yanks himself from my grip and walks back into Subway.
“Who the fuck is bringing that bitch around. Cut off all contact with her.” Michael says sternly to his friends. “Hey man relax. She’s our friend.” Ashton says calmly. “No she’s just around you guys to get back to me, you really think that bitch cares about you guys. She’s fucking psycho.” He says fanatically. “Okay, okay man. Sheesh. Relax.” Luke says waving his hands in the air.
