I went to school but it was going to be a drag. Me and Michael fought this morning, basically over nothing and I knew I wasn’t going to be able to focus. I had a test that day and I was hoping for the best. My grades were decent at this point but it’s not like I was striving for straight A’s. B’s and C’s were just going to do.
I walked into my bio class in my normal seat and pulled out a pencil. The answer sheet was already on my desk and I was ready to begin.
My professor passed out a test sheet to everyone and told us to begin. I took most of my exam and halfway through I felt my phone vibrate. I looked down into my lap and saw it was a text from Luke.
Luke Hemmings: hey, im really sorry about today. (11:47am)
Me: its okay :( (11:48am)
Luke Hemmings: no its not im sorry. /: (11:52am)
Me: luke it wasn’t your fault, you just came over to talk (12:01pm)
Luke Hemmings: yeah I know but I know how Michael gets sometimes (12:10pm)
Me: hes just being an asshole he’ll get over it. (12:13pm)
Luke Hemmings: okay just text me if you need anything (12:22pm)
Me: okay :) (12:31pm)
Luke Hemmings: :)
I put my phone away and continued my test. I only had a few more questions left and then I was going to leave. The test was surprisingly easy, I don’t know why Michael didn’t just come and take the damn thing.
I gathered my things and walked out of class. I had to be on the other side of campus to get to lab and the library. Today was my short day so I only had class until 2. I was thankful that I was going to see Mar. It’s been a while honestly.
I walk into the library and print out a few pages from our online class website. “Hey!” A familiar voice called. “Oh hey Ashton. What’s up?” I asked him. “Nothing just looking for Mar.” He admitted. I felt a bit awkward. I honestly didn’t know what was going on with her, Calum, or Ash.
“Oh, I’m uh about to have class with her in lab B12.” I told him. “Oh! Can I walk with you?” He asks and his hazel eyes widen in excitement. I just couldn’t say no. “Okay, sure.” I smile. “Just let me print this out.”
I walk over to the printers and grab my lab sheets and return back to the computer I was sitting at. “Ready?” I asked him. “Yep.” He said simply as he smiled.
Me and Ashton had only a five minute walk to my labroom and I was hoping he was just going to stay quiet. “Sooo. How are you and Michael?” Ashton asks eyeing me suspiciously. “Oh, good.” I lied.
“That’s not what I heard!” Ashton says smirking at me. “Ugh, word travels like wild fire between you guys.” I said giving him a weak chuckle. “Well??” He presses, trying to probably get dirt out of me, but it wasn’t happening. Everything was fine, I don’t know why everyone was over reacting. “Everything is fine, Ashton.” I say slightly annoyed.
“Okay, just… On a serious note, be careful. Okay?” He says sincerely and it scared me a little bit. “Okay… thank you.” I say putting my head down. “Here it is.” I say looking at him. “Can I go inside?” He asked. “Yeah but you have to leave once lab starts, there’s only 20 people in here. My professor would know if there was an extra person.” I chuckled. “True.” He agreed as we walked in.
“Hey Grace!” Mar says cheerfully and then looks at Ashton. I couldn’t tell if she was mad or sad, her expression was hard to read. “Hey Mar, can we talk?” Ashton asked her.
