I turned around to pay attention in class but my thoughts were still clouded. I felt bad for the events that just happened a few days ago. I sneakily continued to check my phone to see if Luke texted me back. I couldn’t help but feel guilty that I was already hiding something from Michael.
LUKES POV
I sat staring at my phone deciding if I wanted to text Grace back. In all honesty I was pissed as fuck, and she doesn’t deserve any friendship from me. But of course my feelings would get in the way and tell me to keep seeing her.
I spent a lot of time thinking if I were in Mike’s position. He loved her, and I guess he deserved her right. I still don’t understand why she was so pressed on mending out friendship when she had him, she didn’t need me.
Grace ‘Babe’ Mercado: Luke can we meet up? (5:51pm)
Me: for what? (5:55pm)
Grace ‘Babe’ Mercado: To talk? (5:56pm)
Me: come over tonight at 11 (6:01pm)
Grace ‘Babe’ Mercado: okay
I sat at home waiting for Grace to come over. I decided to have a few drinks to lighten the mood. Before I knew it I was completely belligerent and I was gonna have Grace come over.
~
It only seemed like 10 minutes later and my door bell was ringing "Hey." Grace says shortly. "Hiii, come on in!" I cheer. "Feeling okay?" She questions while smirking. "Yes, of course." I wink. She smirks at me and walks into me and gives me a hug. "Don't look at me like that." I whispered into her hair.
"What do you mean?" She looks up at me while smiling. "Stop that." And I lean in to kiss her. She turns her head a bit so that I could only kiss her cheek. "Let's talk, yes?" She said while walking in.
"Who took you here by the way? You didn't take the bus did you?" I asked her. "Oh no. I got Calum to take me. I offered a beer." She chuckles. "That's my best friend." I grin proudly. "You guys are unbelievable." She huffs.
Me and grace go upstairs and sit down on my bed. We sit in silence while exchanging awkward glances. "Fucking talk." She says to me with pleading eyes. "What do you want me say." I slur a bit. "Say what you're thinking." She says
"Your boobs look big in that t-shirt." I chuckle. She gasps, crawls on the bed towards and punches me in the chest. I grab her wrist and set her on my lap. "Ooopps" I chuckle into her neck. "Luke.. Stop." She whines.
"I can't. I've been trying. I can't." I say repeatedly. "I just...-" She starts to say but I immediately press my lips into hers. She kisses me back at first but then stops. "I can't do this." She says looking away, locking her hands behind my head. "But here we are now." Say still slurring, stuttering on my words.
"You're drunk." She says getting up off of me. "Please wait." I grab her wrist as she heads for the door. I stand up in front of her and place my arms around her waist. "We were supposed to be talking." She says looking at the ground. "We are talking..." I huff.
I release my hands from her and rip my shirt off. "Stop that." She whines not looking at me. I place my hands on the bottom of her t-shirt lifting it above her head.
I throw her shirt to the side, letting it fall to the floor. I place my large hand in hers, hers smaller in comparison. I walk us to my bed and she doesn't hesitate.
