Klaus's POV
I was in the main living room of my mansion when Rebekah entered the room. 'What took you so long?' I asked impatiently and did a quick stroke of my brush onto the canvas. 'Alaric didn't want to hand over the stake, luckily I'm quite the charmer.' She told me strutting over handling the white oak stake with ease. I turned to face her with a brow raised. 'That's it?'
'The last of the white oak stake that can kill us,do you want to do the honours or shall I?' I nodded and snatched the stake from her hands, throwing it into the wood fire. I returned to my painting and she began to walk away. 'Pack your bags, we are leaving.' I ordered and she came to an erupt stop. 'Were leaving... Today?'.I shrugged dipping into a paint colour. 'Why not? There's nothing keeping us here well grab the doppelgänger and be off by sunset.' She turned to face me but I kept my concentration on my painting. 'But tonight's the decade dance.' Rebekah murmured and I chuckled. 'So?' She didn't seem pleased with my answer. 'So I'm head of the committee we have to go.' She pleaded, folding her arms and stamping her foot. I chucked my brush into a jar of water to clean it and turned to face my sister. 'I'm not going to any dance.' I went to turn back around when she said. 'Leah will be there.' And I froze in my spot, hearing her name made me tense. 'That means nothing to me.' I lied frowning at my blonde sister who seemed persistent on attending. 'Please I have big plans for tonight, just go for me?' She pulled a puppy dog face at the end of her sentence making it hard to refuse, I walked over to her smirking. 'Okay fine one last hurrah.' She nodded repeating. 'One last hurrah.' I wasn't just going for her, I was looking forward to seeing Leah in a nineteen twenties costume, the thought of her made my eyes spark.

Leah's POV
Tonight was the nineteen twenties decade dance and I was rather excited to dress up as a flapper girl. I got into my recently washed white SUV and headed to the dance. For some reason I decided to go down my old street, slowing down as I got to my house. I felt numb looking at it, like I had seen a ghost. I remembered the first time I saw it and was hopeful about starting a new life here with dad, now I was here without him. I drove off and soon pulled up to the school car park and quickly fixed my silver flapper styled dress, I then put on my gloves which went above my elbows. I didn't want to drive with them for some strange reason, I also didn't drive with my heels so I pulled them out of the back seat and shoved them onto my feet. I took a deep breath before heading inside. Once I headed inside I searched for people I knew when I saw Tyler and Caroline, so I made my way over there, to my embarrassment I accidentally scraped the bottom of my heel on the ground making a loud screech. 'Are you crazy? If Klaus sees you...' Caroline threw her hands up in the air when she finished her sentence to Tyler. He looked at her rolling his eyes. 'What's he gonna do buy you another bracelet or draw her another picture.' He complained pointing at me. 'Uh, I should probably go.' I followed my gaze over to Matt by the drinks and I made my way over to him. 'Hey Matt, look we haven't spoken since the whole Klaus thing at Caroline's birthday and-' I begun apologising but Matt cut me off. 'Look, Leah, I just care about you and don't want to see you hurt yourself with a guy like that.' He then smiled at me and nudged my shoulder. 'Come on let's dance.' We then headed over to the crowded dance floor, I just threw my hands around and kicked up my heels. Trying to copy what everyone else did. 'This is insane!' I told him while laughing, he twirled me around chuckling as I almost tripped over. 'No offence Leah, but you have two left feet.' He pointed out laughing and I nodded agreeing. 'I'm gonna go get drinks.' And I watched as he walked away, Damon then took his place. The music slowed down and we started to dance. 'So how's my favourite little human?' He asked with a smirk and I scoffed rolling my eyes at him. 'How's my favourite annoying vampire.' He laughed at my retort. 'Ouch..' We danced for a bit longer until he saw Stefan and Elena. 'Excuse me,Leah.' He winked at me before walking away, I shook my head laughing as he walked away. Matt returned with some drinks and handed me one, it smelt of punch with a tinge of liquor. Someone must've spiked it, but what else would you expect from a teenage dance. We started dancing again and I looked around the room finding Klaus dancing with Caroline. He looked handsome all dressed up, although I was rather upset he didn't ask me to dance.
