(Chase)
~
Chisa ran off upstairs to her room even before I could stop her, she was crying and it made me want to give her all that I could in any way. He is my father, I was his flesh and blood but such a declaration, has a shattering effect. He wanted us to stop seeing each other, that wasn't possible for me.
It hurts, it felt like a knife had been lodged into the inner cavity of my chest, severing every blood vessels of the strength I have. This man took care of us, he loves mother dearly but now, he wants us to leave each other, someone 'I' care about. Mrs. Grande was abandoned by her husband, she has nothing. Chisa tried to take it upon herself by resenting him, I've seen at school, how lonely she was and broken, many couldn't see it but I did.
She was afraid to get hurt, to have her heart broken to splinters. I wanted to get close to her, I really wanted to be someone she could trust, it took time, even now, Chisa was slowly letting me in. I'm willing to wait until she can trust me with an assurance.
Even though we're dating, she hasn't fully given me her heart, I could understand that but I'd never do anything to hurt her. If she knew how I felt about her - I've never had these feelings with any other girls in my previous relationships. Chisa has taken my heart in those little palms of hers, if she could one day fall in love with me.. I'd be so happy.
Father doesn't approve of our relationship and will not save the floral shop unless we stopped seeing each other, he was hoping to become Mrs. Grande's savior in a very subtle way. The thought of Chisa being with another guy was already playing in my head, seeing someone I have feelings for with some other guy.. I won't be able to bare it. There was already a crack in my heart, threatening to break.
My father was backing me into a tight spot, he wanted to render me powerless.
"I will not leave Chisa." I told him, looking straight at his eyes.
"There won't be any floral shop soon, prepare for that."
He left the house and that guy that came with him shut the door at their back. I clenched my fist then hit the wall.
Mrs Grande was wiping the tears in her eyes.
"Chase, I won't force you two to leave each other for the sake of our shop. I'll find some other way,"
She said.
"Though, I don't think there's any at this point," her voice was cracking from the pressure she tried to hold in.
I hugged her and she sobbed into my shirt, my throat felt sore and painful. A bad fever was spreading inside, I don't want to leave Chisa, I hoped with everything that she feels the same way.
"Don't worry about the floral shop Mrs Grande, please don't worry, I'll help you."
She glanced up at me, her fair green eyes that reminded me so much of the girl that I wanted to be with so much right now, I knew she was in tears.
"You.. You - really don't,"
"I'll help you don't worry." I told her with a smile.
Her eyes were slowly being overwhelmed by a torrent of tears.
"Thank you, thank you so much."
She continued to thank me but I kept on telling her, it was okay. I started to cough and concern filled her gaze.
"You're getting a bad flu and you have a fever too, please get some rest soon."
"I'll be alright, please tell Chisa to text me if she can."
