The next day was a blur in the morning. You were very tired and you barely paid any attention. When you got to school, Asahina and Oogami approached you.

"Hey, (y/n), I'm so nervous about my swim meet!" Asahina exclaimed. She was even shaking.

"Well, good luck! I'll be there but what time will it be?" you asked

"It's right after school at the pool," Asahina replied.

"I can't wait for you to win," Oogami said, wrapping a loving arm around Asahina. You smiled at the sight of them. You prayed whoever your soulmate was they would love you just as much if not more so if that was possible. You walked inside and followed your friends and followed your morning schedule then went to your first class. You sat down, and hoped Leon was coming. You didn't feel safe anymore. The presence of other male students made you uncomfortable. You hoped this fear wasn't permanent. Leon walked in early for once and his eyes immediately locked with yours. You gave him a small, weak smile. He took his seat beside you.

"Are you okay?" Leon asked, obviously noticing your discomfort.

"Yeah," you replied. Leon seemed worried.

"Just tell me if you're getting upset I can try to help," Leon said. You nodded, and the bell rang.

School went by faster than normal it seemed. You saw Enoshima glare at you murderously multiple times, but you paid no attention to it. Soon it was time for the swim meet.

You met up with Asahina and Oogami by Asahina's locker.

"Good luck, I believe in you!" you exclaimed. Asahina grinned.

"Thank you!" she replied. She gave you a quick hug. "I'm going to go into the locker room. I'm actually kind of excited now." You grinned.

"Let's go sit in the bleachers," said Oogami. Wait, they had bleachers in the swimming area? You were confused until Oogami lead you up stairs to an area with bleachers that were high above the pool. You've never actually seen the pool before. It was Olympic sized. At one side of the pool stood all the swimmers from Hope's Peak Academy wearing the school colors, and at the other side was another school team. Asahina stood at the front of the swimmers since she was the official SHSL swimmer. Apparently the first thing to do was diving. Asahina stood at the board, and visibly took a deep breath before doing a front flip and landing in the water perfectly.

"GO ASAHINA!" you shouted. Some of your fellow students chuckled around you, before cheering themselves. Eventually all the people supposed to dive finished. Asahina had the best score, not even closely followed. She was given a blue ribbon. You cheered so loud with Oogami you were probably going to lose your voice.

Something caught your eye. You saw red hair at the corner of your vision, and turned to see Leon. You were surprised. He was in a couple rows in front of you. He turned around briefly, and saw you and snapped back around faster than he can pitch. You decided to ignore him. You were here for your friend.

The next event was a lap around the pool, and you watched as Asahina dove into the pool and started swimming very fast, ahead most of the time. She must have been using too much energy as someone from the other school started catching up.

"ASAHINA! YOU CAN DO IT!" you cheered.

"WOO! ASAHINA!" shouted Leon. You looked at him, shocked. He turned to you and winked. What the f-

Asahina ended up keeping the lead and winning another event. You never screamed louder. That was Asahina's last event so she was sent to the girl's locker room. You and Oogami immediately went down to the door by the locker rooms, and waited. Asahina walked out with a towel wrapped around her neck, looking elated.

"I won! I got two blue ribbons on my first meet!" Asahina exclaimed.

"Good job, you were amazing," said Oogami. Asahina blushed. You squealed at the fluff. Asahina glared at you.

"When you find your soulmate I'm going to tease you non stop," Asahina said playfully. You blushed.

"Well it might take a long time," you replied.

"I'm sure you already found your soulmate," Asahina said, winking. You blushed.

"Stop! I don't think we're soulmates," you whined.

"Who?" asked someone from behind. You turned around to see Leon.

"OH UH NOBODY!" you quickly shouted. Leon's eyes widened at your shouting.

"Okay, no need to shout," he said, but was smiling. Asahina looked at you triumphantly.

"What're you here for Leon?" asked Oogami.

"I wanted to congratulate Asahina for her ribbons," Leon replied. You felt momentarily jealous because it was like he was flirting, but then again Asahina had her soulmate and also it wasn't right to assume that.

"Thank you," Asahina said.

"-and also to ask if I could take you home, (y/n)," Leon added with a wink. You blushed. Asahina started giggling. A lot. Leon looked at her confused.

"Let's go," you said, glaring at Asahina. Asahina stuck her tongue out at you. Oogami even had a smirk on her face. You walked out to Leon's truck. "Thanks for taking me home."

"You're welcome," Leon said. "I can take you to and from school for now on." You gasped and nodded excitedly.

"Yesssssss," you hissed. Leon chuckled at your behavior.

"Tomorrow's your birthday, isn't it?" Leon asked.

"Yeah," you replied.

"And you'll finally be able to find your soulmate," Leon added his voice containing something you never heard in his voice before. You couldn't pinpoint what.

"Yeah.." You sighed. Leon noticed.

"Is something wrong?" he asked.

"No, it's just that I've been waiting for so long and I'm kind of afraid," you answered.

"Is there anyone you want it to be?"

"I-I don't know. What's with all the questions?" you raised an eyebrow. Leon shook his head.

"I don't know, I just like talking to you," Leon replied, winking. You blushed. Leon pulled into your driveway, and smiled. "Here's your stop." You were about to get out the truck but then you realized you still needed the idea for the song.

"Hey, about the song I'm writing, what kind of song do you want it to be?" you asked. Leon's eyes lit up.

"How about a song about love?" he asked. You were shocked because of his choice.

"Okay, see ya Leon!" you exclaimed. You went inside, thinking about the day's events.

This chapter was over a 1000 words and I got freaked out because I thought this would turn out to be a shorter chapter! This is great!
