Chapter 1

It started with joy

 

Who is Quincey Matthew Hanley? Quincey is none other than the rap sensation Schoolboy Q and father to Joy Hanley. But what happens when Quincey needs to leave for his Oxymoron Tour and with the absence of her mother who will take care of Joy?

 

Tina Moore was your average teenage girl, until she decided to run away. With no home and no job she's forced to live on the crazy streets of Miami. It's not until one day a stranger who so happens to be Q’s assistant bumps into her and Tina not being able to handle any more of lifes struggles tells him, her whole life story.

 

Antwan Cortez, also known as Tez, is Schoolboy Q’s assistant. When he bumps into Tina at the beach he accidentally spills his beer on her too. Expecting to only apologize and leave, he ends up offering her a job to be Joys nanny after hearing all about her life.

 

“Are you serious? You’re offering me a job?”  I asked.

 

“Yeah.. I mean do you want it or not?” he said.

 

I paused. I didn’t know what to say. I knew that it was a perfect opportunity. I would have a home, food, and a well needed shower but I’d be moving to the other side of the country. I had to make a-

 

Tez cut off my thought process

 

“Hello? Do you want the job or not?” he said urgently

 

“Yes, I’d love to” I said unsure

 

“Well follow me because he leaves tomorrow” he said quickly.

 

‘What? Oh my gosh. I had no clue I’d be leaving now. Well, what’s life without taking chances right?’ I thought to myself as I was trying to keep up with Tez.

 

Tez was 6’3 inches tall and had hazel eyes any girl would die for. His skin was this rich caramel color and he had a well built body. How i could tell? Easy, through his white v-neck tshirt, you could see his beautiful abs and defined chest. His muscular arms were snug under his sleeves and he had a huge tattoo on the back of his arm that read 'RiskTaker'. His hair was clean cut under his beanie. and his calves were nice and toned under his camo cargos.

 

As I looked over Tez his words finally sunk in.

 

“Wait! Who’s he and what’s the kids name?”

 

Tez looked back really quick before walking again.

“Do you know who Schoolboy Q is?” He asked.

 

Schoolboy Q, I had heard of him before. He was a rapper who had been out for a few years but recently started to appear on the radio. He was mainly underground until he signed with TDE and dropped singles from his up and coming album Oxymoron. From time to time i would and still listen  to his music. In my opinion he is one of the best in the rap game.
