Chapter 14

Q's POV

As I was walking back to my room I realized how much I actually respected Tina for her decision, but I knew that I needed to give it time. I'll move nice and slow with her. She'll warm up to me.

I got to my room and took my hat and shirt off and sat on my bed. "Man I want that girl." I said out loud to myself as I layed back on the bed. I heard a knock on my door. I got up, and opened it, hoping that it was Tina. There was no one there until I looked down and saw Joy standing there.

"Hey baby." I said with concern. "It's a little late for you to be up. Are you alright?" I said picking her up and holding her.

"I had a bad dream daddy" she said sadly, into my shoulder.

"What happened? Tell me about the monsters I have to beat up." I said as I closed the door, walked to the bed and sat her on my lap.

"There were no monsters daddy. I had a dream that Tina was leaving for good. I don't know why she was leaving but Mr. Murray was driving her away. I don't want her to leave daddy." she said to me and she started crying very loudly.

"Shh shh.. it's going to be okay Joy. She's not leaving, I promise." I said trying to comfort her, but she would not stop crying.

Tina burst into my room. "I heard Joy crying, is she okay?" she said wide eyed and in a panic. Joy immediatley jumped up and ran to Tina. She hugged her and said not a word but it calmed Joy down. She wiped Joys tears away, looked her in the eyes and said "That dream isn't real Joy. It never will be. I'm not going anywhere." Joy walked up to me and gave me a hug, then went back to her room.

After Joy left I just looked at her and she looked back at me.

"I'm sorry"

"Why are you sorry?" I said genuinely confused.

"I didn't want you to have to deal with that, but she's been having this reccuring dream every other night I figured she wouldn't have it today, but I guess not." she said shaking her head with a strong look of worry on her face.

"Don't worry about it." I said smiling. "I didn't know how to calm her and you did. The way you rushed in here like that.. you're amazing." I said gazing at her.

She blushed, smiled and walked out. I closed the door, returned to my bed and fell asleep.

The next morning

I woke up to the smell of food being cooked downstairs. I hopped in the shower, cleaned myself up and put on a white hoodie, some black basketball shorts, some tall white socks and a floral bucket. I walked downstairs and saw my baby watching Dora.

"Good morning daddy!" she said greeting me with a hug and kiss. I looked at Tina and she had on a black tank top, boxers and socks. I winked at her and flashed her my smile. She smirked at me and turned back to the stove.
