Chapter 21

Tez POV

It was still raining this morning when I woke up and it was still dark outside. I got a call on my phone from Ty.

"Hello?" I said with sleep in my voice.

"I'm out here and I'm soaked yo! Open the fucking door!" he yelled into the phone.

"Okay I'll be down in a second."

I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and then sprinted downstairs in my boxers to open the door. When I opened the door, Ty was indeed soaked but I know he has a good sense of humor about things so I didn't stress it too much.

"Well by the looks of it, if I had worn less clothes I'd probably be dry!" he said laughing and referring to my lack of clothes.

"Probably" I said laughing back. "Come with me upstairs man. I need to talk to you"

"Damn like that? No second date or nothing?" still laughing.

Ty was about two inches taller than me. He was the all-star of the basketball team in high school. He has a light brown skin complexion and a face full of freckles and a goatee. You can spot him from anywhere because of his huge afro and build. When we finally made it upstairs it was 430 am and I realized we only had about 35 minutes to discuss.

"Okay let's get serious man."

"Okay tell me whats up?" he said

"I'm gonna come straight out with it. I murdered Jenny. I lied and said that it was her boyfriend Al and long story short, I need you to be Al." I said searching for an emotion on his face.

He took an unecessarily long pause. "How the hell did you manage to murder Jen?"

"I beat her to death" I said shamefully.

He took another extremely long pause. "Alright man. As long as we don't go to jail." he said giving me dap.

"We won't" I said still unsure.

I told him the plan of what we were going to do and told him to wait outside.

I walked down the hall and saw Tina's door slightly cracked so when I approached, I opened the door. Tina was laying down and Joy was sitting in childs pose on top of her covers. When Tina looked up at me she looked terrible.

"What's wrong with you?" I said less than sympathetically.

"I think one of the girls gave me the flu."

I heard Ty's banging at the door. Right on schedule.

"Who is that?" Tina asked sitting up. We heard it again.
