Chapter 8

The next morning I was woken up.

"Wake up! WAKE UP!!" I knew it was Joy.

"I'm up. I'm up" I said still laying down with my eyes closed.

"You're not up!" she said laughing and now jumping on my bed.

Finally waking up. "Okay now I'm up. See?" I said laughing.

I looked at the time and it was five in the morning. 'Yeesh' I thought. Tez came walking in.

"Good morning" he said flashing his smile. Joy ran out of the room and down the stairs.

"Tez why am I awake right now?" I said smelling my own breath and going to the bathroom.

"Well that's what time she wakes up and she wants to have fun" he said laughing. "How'd you get her to warm up to you so quickly?" Tez asked

"I have no idea"

I walked down the stairs after I freshened up and saw Joy watching Dora. I went in the kitchen and made breakfast. 'Joy deserves a great breakfast and so do I' I thought. So I made blueberry pancakes, eggs, bacon, the whole nine. After I was done, Joy, Tez and I sat down at the bar outside and ate while we watched the sunrise over the pool. Joy was done before either of us and ran back inside to watch Dora. I joined her once I finished.

"You coming Tez?" I asked

"Nah I'm gonna smoke before I come in"

"Cigarettes?" I asked kind of digusted.

Tez just laughed at me because it wasn't cigarettes. I mean, look at those teeth, how could they be?

I went inside and Joy was telling me all the activities she had planned for us. 'I am so lazy' I thought. She wanted to go to the mall to buy clothes so we went upstairs and got dressed. I had on high waisted shorts with a tank top and a cardigan and Joy had on jeans and a cute t-shirt with gucci shoes. "You look great Joy" I said. She flashed her perfect smile at me. Tez called Murray and he got there in less than five minutes. We got in the car and I told him to drive us to the mall. When we got there, Joy was so excited. It made me happy to see her happy.

We went everywhere, from Abercrombie to True Religion. I came to realize that she's just like me. Shes a thrifty shopper. When we were done we had at least 10 bags and I was a thousand dollars broker. We were sitting down at Fat Burger when she spoke to me.

"I really like you, I didn't mean that earlier. I'm sorry." she said apologetically.

"It's okay, you don't have to apologize Joy. I know what those other ladies did when they were here. I wont do that to you." I said sympathetically.

"You aren't like them. That's why I like you" Joy said as she got up and gave me a huge hug.

I was more than happy that day. Once we got in the car we talked even more.

"When is your birthday Joy?"

"April 12" she said

"That's really soon Joy. What do you want to do for your birthday?"

"I just want to see my daddy." she said sadly

I felt for her. My dad was there but I wanted him to care. Her dad cares but he just can't be there.

"Well hopefully he can make it but if not just know that he cares so much about you Joy and that you are so lucky to have a dad like him" I said honestly

She gave me a hug and I hugged her back. We finally arrived at the house, Joy ran off to the bathroom and I carried all the bags inside and put them in her room.

Tez's door was open so I knocked once and walked in. A lady a little older than me was in there, tearing his room apart. She looked at me with demon eyes and ran out of the house before I could ask her anything. Tez walked up behind me and freaked.

"What the hell did you do?!" he yelled

"Look, I don't know what's going on, but some lady was in here when I knocked, ransacking your room. She was shorter than me but she had long brown hair with green eyes and she looked vicious. It wasn't me though" I said honestly.

"I can't believe this. Are you serious?" he said calming down.

"Yes. You need to handle that Tez. Whatever is going on here you really need to fix it" I said walking downstairs to go be with Joy.

Tez POV

While they were gone, I left out to the bank to take some of Q's money out again. When I came back the girls were back and I heard a lot of noise coming from upstairs but someone was in the bathroom down here.

"Joy is that you in the bathroom?" I asked

"Yes!" she yelled.

I heard the front door slam so I ran upstairs and I saw Tina standing in my doorway. I took a few seconds to admire her body and then I waltzed up the stairs. I absolutley freaked when I saw my room. It was trashed.

""What the hell did you do?!" I yelled. I was furious

"Look, I don't know what's going on, but some lady was in here when I knocked, ransacking your room. She was shorter than me but she had long brown hair with green eyes and she looked vicious. It wasn't me though." she said honestly.

I knew who she was.

"I can't believe this. Are you serious?" I said calming down a bit.

"Yes. You need to handle that Tez. Whatever is going on here you really need to fix it" she said and she walked back down the stairs. I stared at her back side for a minute before I went in my room and closed the door.

I called her immediately. No answer.

I called Kendrick. He answered.

"What are you calling me for?" he asked

"Did you send Jenny in here to trash my room?" I asked angrily.

"Yeah I did. Use Q's money to fix that, bitch" he said and hung up.

If Kendrick thinks he's got me, he's got another thing coming. Two can play that game.
