Chapter 20

Q's POV

"That was a great show Q!" my manager said to me after I was coming off stage.

"Thanks."

I walked through a sea of fans and got into the car that would take me to the hotel. As I was sitting in the car with Kendrick we started talking.

"How do you feel man? You had one hell of a show." he asked me.

"I feel fine. Just ready for this to be over, honestly." I said sadly.

"Hey, keep your head up Q. We only got 15 more shows until we can all go back to L.A." he said happily.

"Really? I didn't even know"

"Yep."

We arrived at the hotel and we got out of the car. Once we made it to the room, I set my stuff down and sat on the bed in my room. The rest of the guys followed behind me and sat in the living room and started to spilt cigars. "I'll be out in a minute!" I yelled out. It was almost 8 pm. I figured I'd call Tina and talk to her and Joy. I really miss them a lot.

I heard a knock at my door. "Come in!" I said. It was Herb.

"Hey, you gonna go out with us tonight?" he said smiling his huge smile.

"Nah. I think I'll just kick back and smoke myself to sleep"

"Suit yourself" he said and left.

I took my hoodie and hat off and layed back on the bed. I took my phone out of my pocket and saw a missed call from my mom. 'I'll call her back later' I thought. I scrolled through my contacts and found Tina's name. Superwoman. I clicked the call button and waited for her to answer. She picked up on the third ring.

"Hello?" she said. It was loud in the background but I couldn't help smiling.

"Hey. Why is it so loud over there?" I asked chuckling.

"There are six little angels over here destroying your house" she said joking.

"That's great. I wish I could be there." Johnny came in and handed me a joint before leaving.

'Thanks' I mouthed.

"Well, why'd you call?" she said trying to take my mind off of it. I appreciated that.

I paused for a second to flick my lighter against the joint in my mouth. "You want the truth or not?" I said smiling.

"Not" she said trying to humor me.

I'll play along. "I called to make sure you aren't burning my house down." I said laughing.
