The van Michael had brought was amazing. There was a small bed at the back, a sofa, a tv and stereo system, a cabinet full of alcohol and snacks and even a guitar. Everything was covered with this bohemian material that looked amazing and was frankly the most comfortable thing I had ever sat on. It was sad climbing out of the van when we got to our location.
"Right girls come on, we'll check out the bar for information." As soon as we were in the Roundhouse, River had his arms around both Nicole and mines shoulders. Leading us away from the rest of the boys, he discussed our 'game plan'.
"So basically, flirt and find information?" I raised my eyebrow at him as he grinned in reply. Nicole laughed and quickly moved away from us, already at work.
Shaking his arm off my shoulder, I made my way to a guy that seemingly alone. Unfortunately, after twenty minutes of flirting with a couple of guys absolutely none of them knew anything.
The only person I could see was River and he looked overly happy with the girl paying a massive amount to attention to him. Instead of making my way towards him I decided to go pee. Someone must have found something and I wanted to make sure I could pee before I was whisked to the other side of North London.
Washing my hands, I noticed bear prints under the mirror in front of me. I followed them till I reached the condom dispenser and on the side facing away from the mirror was the words 'WHERE ARE YA - BARFLY'. Really, Grizzlies? The condom dispenser?
As quick as you could say 'a clue' I had run out of the bathroom in search of my friends. Bumping into Luke and Nicole I shouted "Outside! Round everyone up!" They nodded quickly and took off in search of everyone.
I only saw Michael on my way out, with a slut hanging off of him. So what, I couldn't even speak to River yet he could do whatever he wanted with a random slut? How dare he! I was angry, I could feel it but the clue made me put my feelings behind me and grabbed him, pulling him out of the building.
"You're hurting me, babe" Michael was trying to pull his arm away from my death grip on his hand. Maybe I wasn't putting my feelings that far behind me.
"Don't call me that." I let go of his arm, leaving marks from my nails and turned towards the door as the rest of our group came tumbling out.
"We need to go to Barfly! It was on the condom dispenser in the bathroom!" Some of them laughed as I told them where the clue was and Nicole raised her eyebrow in a way that asked me why I was looking.
"Thank god Michael found a girl he likes or else we'd never have found it." Calum smirked as he jumped in the back of the van.
"I don't like her, I just fuck her." I don't think I was meant to hear Michael as I followed Calum but I did and I was actually happy that he was made to sit away from me or else I may have strangled him.
"What's up, princess?" River was next to me, again, pulling me into his side. I didn't complain, needing a little comfort. We were sitting on the bed of the camper van with Calum and Ash trying to squeeze themselves next to River.
"Just scared we won't find them" I leaned onto River.
"With someone as amazing as you we will, promise." River was grinning down at me but all I could focus on was Luke's disappointed look.
-&-
"You gonna come with me, princess?" River's arm was around my waist as we walked into Baryfly.
"Nope, sorry. I need the clue finder." Luke dragged me through the crowd, easily pushing through due to his height.
"What the fuck?" He had spun around as soon as we came to an abrupt stop.
"What do you mean?"
"I said not to hurt Michael yet you start cuddling up to River?" Luke crossed his arms.
"I'm just a fuck to Michael so there's no chance of me hurting him." I was recalling what Michael had said to himself back at the Roundhouse and I could feel the anger burning inside me.
"Yeah, right. That's why he kept you around." I could obviously make out the sarcasm in his voice but he was being an idiot.
"Fine, don't believe me. Let's find a clue and when we're back outside, I'll show you." I turned around looking for a staff member I could question. Luke sighed but he followed me, attempting to help. It was almost impossible though as all of them told us they had no idea.
I was losing hope of any clue until Ashton approached us claiming that Griff knew our next stop was Upstairs at the Garage.
"Princess! I missed you!" River's head was hanging out of the passenger side window, reminding me of a dog.
"What a twat." Michael growled as he tried to pass me. I stopped him by grabbing onto his arm.
"Why do you get pissed any time River pays me attention?"
"Isn't it obvious? He's an idiot." Michael looked like he did the other night when he basically told me to fuck off - jealous.
"You shouldn't care, it's not like I mean anything to you!" I was clenching my fists, attempting and failing to keep calm.
"Yeah, you're right. I don't care, I just want to fuck you." He smirked at me, leaning over as if he was trying to intimidate me.
"I am not just a fuck, Clifford." I couldn't hold the anger in anymore and brought my hand up. His face flung to the left as he hissed.
I didn't look back at him and just climbed into the van, sending a pointed look at Luke.
I was back on the bed again, hoping to ignore everyone. My head was against the side of the van, my eyes clenched shut. My hand was tingling, I couldn't imagine what his cheek must feel like.
"Damn girl." Was all I heard before we took off.
