I didn't call Michael and he didn't call me. Not even a text and, although there were times when my mind would drift back to that night, I didn't even feel the need to contact him. The girls and me carried in celebrating that act that we had just finished our A Levels and all decided to get new hobbies. I know it sounds strange but whilst we were doing our exams we had to drop almost all our social life just to be able to revise enough to pass (though school completely sucks). One thing I had wanted to do for a few years was learn guitar and the morning with Michael reminded me just how much. With that in mind, I headed down to the best music store I knew of in my local area: Randy's Records. He was a sweet, middle-aged man with a large family that almost everyone knew and I was hoping he'd help me buy a guitar and maybe even find some lessons.

Randy's shop was amazing. He sold things like vinyl to iTunes cards to pianos to saxaphones. He opened it when he was 17 and it's been popular ever since. It had a cosy feel, with sofas dotted around and places where you could check out music before you resulted in buying it. Randy welcomed me with a smile as he talked to another customer so I hovered over some CDs.

"What brings you here, Natty?" I had been here a few times wit my friends and my Dad was relatively close to Randy so, really, he was like my uncle.

"I need your help with something..." I trailed off, nervous to start something new but he raised an eyebrow so I continued. "Now that exams are over I really want to start learning guitar so I need to buy a guitar and maybe find some lessons. Could you help?"

A big throaty laugh escaped him "Natty I thought you were in trouble! Of course, come on." I was grinning as he lead me towards a wall with probably over one hundred guitars placed carefully with tags on the wall beside them. "Do you know what kind?" I paused to think and we ended up discussing guitars for a long time an we ended up discussing guitars or a long time, me waiting patiently if he had to talk to another customer.

Finally, I ha decided on an acoustic guitar. It was a light brown and looked gorgeous (if a guitar can even look gorgeous) and Randy set me up with all the proper equipment like a stand and pick etc. "Now, just for the lessons. Any ideas?" My head was bent over the guitar case so I didn't know that Randy was speaking to a customer.

"I can help you with lessons." The voice was low, familiar and I couldn't place it until I turned around, coming face to face with Michael.

"Sure, I mean I'll pay you and you can teach me and that could be fun and it would save me a lot of trouble..." I wasn't looking at either of them as I ran my hands over the case, flustered. I could hear Michael laughing under his breath and I bet Randy was trying his hardest not to. Get a grip Natalie. I looked up and smiled, "want to talk about details then?" I plopped myself down on a sofa near me and waited.

"Well, I'm free today if you'd like to start. You also don't have to pay me, I think the entertainment is enough." He was smirking at me again and u wasn't sure if he meant laughing at me being flustered or entertainment like the other night so it just smiled back.

"Really? How kind of you. Shall we go then?" Thanking Randy, I gathered my things. I could head him mutter eager under his breath as he picked up some of my things and walked out of tech door. I had the urge to smack him round the back of his head but I didn't want to risk the chance of losing out on free music lessons. Instead, I held my head up higher and waltzed straight out the door, waiting for him.

"Keep walking like that babe, it makes your ass look good." Michael we chuckling as he skipped past me, leading me towards what I guess is his car. He was cheeky and it was making my stomach do flips. This was absurd! A few weeks ago Michael had me pinned down in bed in the very apartment we were heading to now. The only noise in the car was his radio playing what sounded like Lost In Stereo by All Time Low. His fingers were tapping on the wheel as he sped through the city, his eyes thankfully glued to the road. The tension was so think you could slice it with a butter knife plus it wasn't like we had much to say, we weren't friends.
