Red Dresses and a Princess

I just got home and brought some sushi for dinner. I drop my keys on the bowl and set the kitchen counter with plates and glasses. We rarely eat dinner at the dinning room of the house. As I'm putting the plates over the counter my phone buzzes.

My favorite person in the world is calling me.

"Hey baby."

"Hi, are you close? Are you hungry? I brought sushi."

"I am close and hungry and funny enough I craved sushi all day, did you read my mind?" We both laugh at his dorky remark.

"Yeah obviously I read your mind, that's why I brought home sushi, not because I'm hungry yeah", he hints my sarcasm and laughs. "I can see you rolling your eyes even though I'm not home yet. See you in three minutes to be exact."

"Yes, stop talking and driving, not safe. See ya soon." I finish setting the counter for dinner and I hear the garage door open. He said three minutes and it took him literally ten seconds to get home after we hung up. I take the iced tea out of the fridge and sit on the stool to wait for him. He opens the back door that leads to the kitchen and quickly scans the house with his eyes, looking for me.

As soon as he spots me his smile grows so much, popping his dimples. He walks towards me. I take his hand and pull him to me so he stands between my legs. I raise my head to look at him as he looks down into my eyes, smiling. He cups my cheeks with his hand and leans down to kiss me.

"Hi" he whispers. "Why are you whispering?" I ask and laugh at the same time. "I don't know" he says, whispering again and this time he stifles a laugh as he leans down again to kiss me. I put my arms around his waist and his hands move from my cheeks to my neck.

"So you brought sushi, I hope it's a lot because I'm hungry, really hungry." He announces and I laugh, nodding. He walks to the other side of the counter and sits exactly across from me. He opens the container without wasting time and stuffs his mouth with two rolls. I give him a look.

"What? What's that look for? I'm hungry", he says trying to talk and spitting out some rice grains. I smile at him and take a roll myself. "How was the lunch with the bride and groom?" He asks me, referring to my lunch with Zayn, Perrie, the made of honor and the rest of the bridesmaids. I hold my hand out to him to gesture that I'm eating.

I swallow my roll and tell him about it. I notice as I talk that he rested his head on his hand and is barely eating now. "...And when Zayn left, Perrie took us to try on the bridesmaid dresses and her own dress. It was so beautiful, she looked amazing. The cleavage is heart shaped and from the waist down it is like... A princess dress you know? I don't even know how to describe it. And our dresses are red, so beautiful."

I kept talking about the dresses and suddenly Harry starts to smile shyly on his hand, but his dimples still show. I stop talking. "Are you even listening to me?"

He keeps his smile on his face and I start to mirror his smile. "Yeah, red dresses and something about a princess." I tilt my head to the side and smile at him, showing my teeth and shaking my head. "You weren't paying attention, were you?"

His smile grows a little bit more. "Not really. I was looking at you, thinking how you would look walking down the aisle to me, in a white dress, holding flowers." I freeze on my stool. "What?" He raises his head from his hand and stands up from the stool. He takes his glass to his mouth, gulps the last of his iced tea and puts the glass back on the counter. Still standing up, he rests both his hands on the counter and leans my way, looking at me.

"I would be at the end of the aisle on my best tux, waiting for you. Your father would walk you to me and give me your hand. We'd be getting married on a little set up in the midlands of Holmes Chapel or maybe on a beach on the Caribbean, you can choose. And you would be wearing a white dress, walking to me, holding flowers in your hands, smiling at me. So beautiful as always."

He leans down to kiss me and then walks to the other side of the counter, where I'm sitting with my jaw on the floor. He grabs my hand to gesture for me to stand in front of him.

"I though only girls had fantasies about their wedding day" I say and brush his hair back. He closes his eyes as I do so and smiles.

"I've been thinking about that day since I met you. When I ask you to marry me you better say yes." He leans down and kisses me hard, as if we haven't kissed in months. We pull apart and he kisses my forehead.

"I'll say yes. I love-", I wanted to tell him that I love him but he cut me off with his lips on mine, again. He hums as we pull apart. "I love you too. I'm gonna take the rest of this sushi to bed and watch a Friends rerun. Come on", he says, intertwining our fingers, taking the sushi on his other hand and leading us to the bedroom.
