I'd lost it all
I had nothing
Still you gave me the hope
I can do it
And I will do it
You gave me strength to oppose
Those sinful dreams
And heavy grins
I was always afraid of
And all the failures
I had faced
I was afraid to show
On the edge of parapet I was
About to jump the height
You told me it would be alright
If I be back in your arms
And since then
You just held my hand
And took me and embraced
I cried an hour or two and then
It was all well again
The warmth gave me some happiness
Beyond the materialism on earth
I wanted to be forever
In your safe possessions
You told me I would never cry
If I be in your love
And since that day
I never whined
