You make me climb up step by step
I ascend to the tower that you made
Unknown of what will happen next
I keep on climbing till you say
You stop me, point towards the line
Where earth meets with the sky above
You tell me if I walk up more
I'll reach the stars beyond the clouds
A hope so pure, I find in it
A will so sure I feel in it
With faith I walk with you by my side
On the top floor I find empty land
The one I filled with love and trust
The one I cherished with dreams and warmth
Is empty, with the water drained
The golden bird you sold away
The more the height, the more it hurts
And yours was the highest skyscraper
You made me climb it all the way
And me blindfolded heeded your track
As great as Eiffel I had climbed
That was the height from which you pushed my hope
Break it up
Killed it all
And me am left with no-one to trust
