Deep from the earth
I implanted my shells
The world was mesmerized by my face
I told them how to love
And how to express
And from all this I came to the top of
A world of happiness
I became their ways
And a helping hand to them
They'd take me and gift to the ones loving them
A smile on their face
And my work's done
They'd leave on the table to rest for the day
Sometimes pressed in a book
Or torn recklessly
Some would freeze me in the cold to store their memories
But some just came and watched
Admiring all my love
They kept me all alive and never broke me off
This gave me some joy
And I bloomed to the full
Into a beautiful flower
Into a rose
