Events seemed to go by quite quickly. Before Lily even knew it she was reading news about BTS having already boarded an airplane and that they were being shipped off back to Korea. That's pretty quick, Lily thought to herself as she was sliding cans onto a shelf. I hope they're getting plenty of rest and that they aren't overworking themselves. Maybe I'll mention that in my next letter.
Lily, however, had other things on her mind. Not only were things starting to pick up in the store, due to Thanksgiving and Christmas coming soon, she also had several tests to take for her community college courses. Right after work she would shut herself in her room and recite her studies about bones and muscles to her goldfish. Saying things aloud always helped her remember things.
On those days Lily didn't have much time to focus on things like BTS, and she couldn't get around to writing another letter either. Soon, the Mic Drop remix snuck up on her and she was totally unprepared. But with school giving her a break due to Thanksgiving, Lily could finally unload and slow down, or at least she hoped so.
It was the day before Thanksgiving, everyone in the store was stressed and impatient. Lily hated the holidays with a burning passion, she used to love the holidays, but then she started working retail. And it all ended from there.
"That's my pumpkin can, I saw it first!" An old voice said rather loudly.
Lily snapped her head to the side to look at the source of the noise, an old lady and an old man had their hands wrapped around a can of pumpkin puree. Lily let out a small sigh, and quickly walked over to a box of pumpkin puree cans. She pulled it open and took the box to the pair of old people. The lady was threatening the old man when she arrived, probably saying she'd hit him with her purse.
"Excuse me," Lily said, trying to grab their attention. "I have more right here."
Lily pulled out a can and waved it in front of their old faces. The old lady instantly let go of the can the old man had and swiped the one in Lily's hand. Her sharp nails scratched Lily as she did so. The old lady stuck her nose in the air, put the can in her cart and tried to quickly make her way through a crowd of people. The old man trotted away, clenching his prize away.
Lily rolled her eyes and started putting the rest of the pumpkin puree cans on the shelf. There was always someone fighting over something, she hardly ever had time to finish stocking shelves before another one was emptied. The store would be open late that night, on the other hand Lily didn't get a double shift. She wanted to, so she could put more money towards medical school, though Crystal seemed pretty eager for another shift. Lily decided to let her deal with it, the benefits of leaving out weighed the benefits of staying.
Lily made her way to the back of the store to clock out. Jess caught her as she was heading out the office. "Hey, Lily, I have a question."
"What is it? I'm not going to one of your parties if that's what--" Lily was cut off by Jess.
"No, I'm not inviting you to one of those. I wasn't really planning on having another one after what happened last time," Jess rubbed the back of his neck. "I was wondering if our usual Black Friday shopping spree was still going to happen."
"Yeah of course," Lily said. Ever since they both started working they had gone Black Friday shopping together. They didn't usually buy much, they mostly stood at the edges of the crowds and watched all the panic. "Wouldn't miss it, even if I was sick."
"Alright, see you then," Jess gave a small smile and a wave and Lily was off.
It took forever for Lily to get home due to the traffic of families trying to get in and out of the city. Thanksgiving day was definitely not a time for travel. Lily wished she could of stayed home, curl up under her blanket and watch BTS videos on her phone or laptop. Lily thought so as she sighed.
BTS.
Lily realized she hadn't sent a letter in a long time. Lily pushed the door open, took her sneakers off and left them by the door and traveled to the kitchen. It was cold outside, and it would be cold for a few more months to come.
Lily heated up some left over soup and took the bowl to her room. She didn't know where her parents were, probably taking advantage of the few days off and went somewhere.Lily sat down at her desk, and poured a few flakes of food into her fish's tank. She started spooning her soup into her mouth, she let her mind travel as she thought of what to do next. Before she knew it her soup was gone. Lily pushed the bowl away and leaned back into her chair. What to do?
Lily glanced at her drawer next to her desk. She reached over and pulled it open, she took out an envelope, a pen, and a piece of paper.
2017 November 22,
Dear Hoseok,I haven't written since about the beginning of November. I'm sorry. I meant to write about everything you did in America, unfortunately, I just never got around to it. I hear there are still more things planned, which is great, because I'm not ready. Still waiting for Hixtape. I'm excited about your Wings Tour final, I can't wait to see what you're going to show us. Hopefully there will be fan cams and lots of videos. I really want to see it. Especially since it's so big. If I don't send another letter before then, good luck. I know you'll do great!
Good luck at all the award shows coming up as well. Your schedule is so packed, I hope you're taking care of yourself. The others too, I hope they're healthy and you're all happy ❤.
Sincerely,
LilyLily folded the letter, wrote the address on the back of the envelope then slid the letter into the envelope. She decorated the envelope like she always did and placed several stamps on it. She would send it out later, but for now she was going to rest.

The holidays were finally over, and a new year had finally started. 2018 looked bright and Lily was ready to face it. Lily scrolled through Twitter wondering what the boys were doing. 2018 seemed like it was going to be a good year for BTS, Lily was happy about that.
It was currently a week after the new year, Lily didn't have anything to do. She wasn't signed up for anymore community college classes, and she decided to take a week off from work. Lily glanced over at her Love Yourself album, a small smile appeared on her face. It had already been three months since Hoseok had responded to her. Lily couldn't help but wonder if he would do it again.
Maybe that was too much to ask.
Lily was just a fan after all, she probably shouldn't of even gotten the package in the first place. Lily imagined what it would of been like if news some how had got out that she received a package from a famous idol. It's not like she told anyone about it, but the thought still worried her.
There was a soft knock on Lily's door and soon Lily's mother entered the room with an envelope that was heavily taped in hand. "This is for you," Lily's mother walked in and handed the envelope to Lily. Lily took the envelope and stared at it for a moment. "Aren't you going to open it?" Lily's mother asked, she still hadn't left the room. She was curious as to what her daughter got.
The hand writing on the envelope was familiar, and parts were in Korean. Lily slowly reached across her desk, and grabbed a picture frame. Lily wandered garage sales and flea markets to find the perfect picture frame, to frame Hoseok's first response. She looked at it often, and kept it safe.
The handwriting on the envelope and framed letter matched. She grabbed some scissors and carefully cut open the sealed envelope. Why was there so much tape on it anyway? She pulled out the contents and froze at the sight, wide eyed. Inside the envelope contained a BTS concert ticket and a fan meet ticket for her location. Though she was more confused than anything. Why would Hoseok give her a concert and a fan meet ticket?
