Lily sat at a table, tracing her fingers along the grain of the varnished wood. Hoseok had given her a piece of paper with the name of a coffee shop, she was currently seated at. But the idea of meeting Hoseok someplace other than a fansign or a concert felt..... wrong.
What if someone saw the pair out and about, took pictures and spread them on the internet? That was something she didn't want, especially because of the rumors that may start and the damage that could be inflicted.
Lily glanced out the window of the coffee shop. Maybe she took the note the wrong way, maybe he was just recommending her a coffee shop to got to. She considered getting up and heading back home. She would see him tomorrow again, at the concert anyway.
She heard a bell ring and glanced over at the door, she sunk lower in her seat when she saw Jungkook walk in. Maybe he wouldn't recognize her, or maybe he didn't even know who she was and she could slither on past.
Lily grabbed her empty cup and slid out of her chair and kept her head down as she walked to throw her cup away. She successfully walked past Jungkook, though she found it odd that none of the other members were with him.
Lily headed for the door, while still keeping her eyes downcast, she felt as though she was about to run into something so she stopped and looked up. Hoseok. He was so tall and handsome in real life, she noticed this at the fansign, but now he took her breath away.
"Hello," Hoseok said, in English, though the rest of his words were in Korean. "Are you leaving? Did I come to late?" He seemed a bit sad.
Lily didn't know what to do, she was afraid of any rumors that might start if someone sees them together. These days, there wasn't anyone who didn't recognize him.
"Yes. . ." Lily lied. "Something came up, with my family. . . I'll see you at your concert tomorrow. I'm sorry."
"No, it's fine I understand, thanks for coming to meet me anyway," Hoseok said.
Lily felt her heart shatter, she regretted lying, but she couldn't take back her lie. "Goodbye, Hoseok."
Lily quickly headed out of the coffee shop.
-----------------
Lily flopped herself down on her bed. She looked over at her goldfish sitting on her nightstand. "I'm just a fan," she told the fish. "I shouldn't be taking up Hoseok's time, and I don't even deserve it."
She reached into her pocket for her phone. There wasn't anything there, she pushed herself off her bed and patted all her pockets. Where did it go? She walked over to her bag, unzipped all the compartments, and dumped everything out onto the floor. She sorted through the mess, but her phone wasn't there.
Lily headed out of her room, she would have to use the home phone to call her own cell phone. She hurried downstairs, grabbed the phone, then dialed her number as she climbed her steps. It was most likely somewhere in her room, as she didn't leave her stuff lying around the house.
She pressed the call button and held it to her ear as she walked into her room. She heard it dialing but she didn't hear her cell phone ring.
"Hello?" A voice said in her ear.
Someone had her phone.
"Uh, hello, uh this may sound weird, but I think you have my cell phone," Lily said.
"You're probably right, Miss," the person said, it sounded like a man.
"Could I perhaps pick it up somewhere?"
"Uh, hold on," the man left the phone. Lily heard some faint voices, but she couldn't make out what they were saying. She felt a bit odd trying to listen intently to what the voice were saying. It didn't sound English...
