A New Home

I've been running for hours and my legs ache. My wolf wanted rest but I wouldn't allow it. Not yet at least. We're on a new pack's territory and I have to get out if it before I get killed. If I remember correctly, this is the Dark Lust Pack's territory, which just so happens to be the strongest pack in the world.

I heard a growl in the distance and mentally curse.

We have only been free for a mere hour and we're already being growled at again! My wolf snapped.

They've smelled us! I panicked.

I hear a growl behind me and my wolf growls back.

Shut up, You're going to get us killed! I told her, and began to run as fast as I could but I hardly moved any faster than before.

Two dark brown wolves and black one like me (except a lot bigger) jump in front of me and I stop short.

The three male wolves shifted and slipped in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt.

"Shift." The one in the middle demands.

He was the Alpha.

I whine, stepping back, only to bump into two pairs of legs. I whip my head around to see two other male wolves. They were glaring at me.

I whimper and put my tail between my legs. In respect, I out my head down in submission to the Alpha. I don't need him thinking I'm a threat to him or his pack.

"Shift!" He yelled again.

With another whimper, I shift into my tattered and beat up human form, giving a small cry at the pain it caused me.

The Alpha growls when he sees me, as do the others.

"Who did this?" He snapped.

"My pack." I whisper, trembling.

"What the hell? What pack?" He growled.

"The B-Black Sage." I stutter, keeping my eyes downcast.

"That pack is a disgrace. Beating their own kind! What sort of barbarian does such a thing?" He spat with rage.

I pulled my legs to my chest and weak my arms around them, trying to hide my body as best I could.

"What is your name?" The Alpha barked and I flinched at his tone.

"Angelina Rising." I reply quietly.

"Why are you in our territory?" He snapped.

"I ran away from the Black Sage Pack and was passing through your land. I-I didn't mean to cause you any trouble, sir. I was trying to leave as fast as I could but I'm not exactly very strong." I whisper, trying to stop my trembling body.

I hated how weak I was. This is my pack's fault. They made me this way. They made me feel useless and weak. They made me scared and ignorant. They kept me from ever being normal. And for what? Just because they thought it was fun and because I shifted late! What a freaking disgrace!

"You will come with us to the pack house and answer a few questions for us." The Alpha states, not giving me an option.

I start to shake in fear and my wolf growls at me.

Could you be strong for once? She snapped.

Well I can't help it! What if they abuse us like out old pack did? I hissed and she shut up.

The two wolves behind me, come to each side of me and lift me up by my forearms.

My heart pounded against my chest, threatening to burst. My breathing was ragged as panic claimed my thoughts.
