The Ceremony (Part 2)
We made our way to the mall went to store after store after store. We got a lot of things and I felt extremely guilty since we were blowing through a lot of money. More than I could wrap my head around.
What if the Alpha and Luna kick me out of their territory before I even became accepted because I plowed through their money?
After the mall and a whole lot of pleading to leave, we finally exited the mall. I was terribly exhausted but I still had a whole ceremony to go to.
"Thank you for taking me." I said quietly and Alison smiled.
"We're going to be good friends, perhaps besties!" She bounced a bit in the driver's seat but I only nodded in response.
She helped me carry all the bags inside and we dropped them on the bed inside the room I'd be occupying.
"You go take a shower. I'll get everything set up." She chirped.
"Ok." I answered and walked into the bathroom where everything was in pristine condition, just the like the room and rest of the house.
We bought a lot of clothes and they were not my style. Alison had insisted and I didn't have the heart to say no. She seemed happy so I let her do her thing. What if she had gotten mad and hit me if I said I didn't want what she chose? The Alpha and Luna may look down upon abuse but that doesn't mean everyone else does.
I peel off the long sleeved shirt clinging to my thin form and the sweat pants soon followed.
I jumped in the shower, soaking in the warmth of the water. It was relaxing and my muscles unraveled from all the tensing they'd been stuck in.
As the water soaked my hair, I grabbed a bottle of vanilla scented shampoo sitting in the ledge of the tub and squeezed and generous amount in my hand.
I remembered when I was just shy of turning five and I used to squeeze half the bottle of shampoo on my head instead of pouring it in my hand. My mother always chastised me for that but I always thought it was funny. But that was also one of the only good memories I possessed.
The scent of vanilla wafted through the air and my knees weakened. Vanilla was my weakness. It was my absolute favorite smell.
I massaged the shampoo into my hair and thoroughly rinsed it out. I then did the same with the vanilla scented conditioner and then rinsed it out.
I grabbed the bottle of liquid soap and poured a good amount onto a rag. Vanilla now permeated the room.
I scrubbed my body until it was red to make sure I got off all the dirt.
I hadn't showered in days. That's not unusual, though. my old Alpha hardly ever let me take showers. And when he did, they were freezing cold.
When I was finished in the shower, I got out and wrapped myself and a white fluffy towel that was lying on the sink.
I looked in the mirror that was above the sink and held back the vile that threatened to spill out of my mouth. The sight of myself, was revolting. How did anyone in this pack stand to look at me?
My hair was dull and looked like someone took a weed hacker to it, my eyes held so much pain and sorrow in them, it made you cringe, and my skin looked unnaturally pale. You could see my bones sticking out, that's how skinny I was. My figure wasn't made to be this skinny!
I sighed as my shoulders slumped and I walked to the door. I cracked it open and saw Alison still setting up makeup.
Why do I need makeup? There is no fixing my ugliness.
