Alpha Wolf No More
Angelina's POV
A gasp fell from my lips and my eyes snapped open. I had felt as if I'd been strangled, I couldn't breathe but then suddenly the invisible hand had been lifted and I could breathe again.
Hunger. That was all I felt. A deep, burning desire to feed.
My eyes met black ones and pain was contorted on the person's face.
I growled, flashing my teeth. This beast was preventing me from feeding. He was holding me back from what I wanted, what I desired, what I needed.
As soon as I went to lunge at him, his arms slammed me back down onto the firm mattress beneath me.
I hissed as pain wafted from my neck and down to my shoulder. I glanced down, seeing blood everywhere, there wasn't any skin covering the left side of my neck down to my shoulder.
It was already beginning to heal.
My eyes narrowed and they found the creature holding me down.
"Angelina, stop, this isn't you. Come back to me, your mate, Isaac." The creature tried to reason with me.
I spat in his face and thrashed around to get free. I felt strong, powerful, invisible.
I snarled, and snapped at his face but he was just out of reach.
"You're a tease aren't you?" I hissed, trying to break free of his iron grip.
"What the hell is going on!" A man walked in and I stopped, recognizing him.
"Allen." I spoke and his eyes swiveled to mine.
He smiled but his face fell, draining of color, when his eyes met mine.
"What the hell did you do to her?" He snarled, coming towards the beast holding me down.
"Stop, she was dying. There was no other way to save her so I had to turn her. She'll be fine once she gets blood. She's a newborn so she'll crave blood until she can control her hunger." The creature explain quickly and I snarled.
"Let go!" I demanded but his grip never loosened.
"You turned her?" Allen snarled, his canines flashing.
"I didn't have a choice." The creature replied.
"Isaac, you did have a choice." Allen growled and took a step forward.
I frowned at the name and memories came zipping back to me, almost taking the breath away from me.
"I'm not going to let my mate die!" Isaac shouted.
"Well now she's a monster, how the hell is she supposed to rule a pack?" Allen yelled.
Just as Allen lunged for my mate, I tore away from Isaac's grip in a slight panic to protect him. I leaped in front of him, shoving him away and took the blow of Allen's body as he crashed into me.
I flew into the wall, groaning as pain shot through my neck and shoulder.
I screamed, griping my hair in my hands.
Pain. So much pain.
"Angelina!" Allen cried.
I growled lowly, pushing through the pain, when he ran to me. His hand went to my good shoulder but I smacked his hand away, baring my fangs.
"Don't touch me, or my mate." I snarled, my eyes flashing a look of hate.
"I didn't mean to, I'm so sorry." Allen apologized.
"You tried to attack my mate." I narrowed my eyes.
"Look at you...you're..you're a vampire!" He tried to get me to understand.
"What I am makes no difference. I am still the person you know." I growled.
"But how can you rule the pack without an Alpha Wolf?" He asked and I stopped.
My pack. I can't be their Alpha anymore. I don't have a wolf anymore.
My face scrunched up in a mask of pain and my knees buckled. I fell to the floor, shaking my head.
"No, no, no!" I screamed.
"I don't want to say this...but the pack won't respond to kindly to you being a vampire. They only tolerated Isaac because he was your mate, but you are no longer a wolf. I can keep you here for a couple days but you'll have to leave after that. I don't want you having bad memories of this pack." Allen spoke but all I did was wrap my arms around my torso and rocked.
"Leave me be." I cried, tears streaming down my cheeks.
"Of course, I'm sorry Angel." Allen apologized and quickly left.
"Angelina-" Isaac started.
"Just go." I interrupted him.
"I'm sorry." He said softly before he left me to myself.
