A Beer And A Cry

Isaac's POV

I had just left Angelina in the Dark Lust Pack office. I finished explaining to her what had happened the day I came to her territory with my parents. I told her about how my father despised werewolves and didn't want me mating one. Then I explained how he finally accepted her as my mate when my mother tried to tell him to go find another mate.

She told me she felt uneasy about my father and I tried to assure her that he was fine but she didn't think so.

I felt a need inside me to claim Angelina as my mate, to finish the process of mating. She was mine and I wanted everyone to know that. I wanted other males that dared tried to hurt her who'd they be messing with if they touched her. She was mine and I wasn't going to let her go again for a third time. Those days were over.

But I can't mate with her yet. She would hardly deem that appropriate since we just decided we'd start over.

I sighed, going up to the room I was currently staying in.

"Hey, Isaac!" A voice called and I looked over my shoulder to see a young looking man around the age of 19 or 20.

"Um, this might be a little weird considering we don't know each other but, do you want to go out for a beer? I sort of just got my mate to fall asleep from Angelina's death and then the whole thing with her coming back from the dead and all." He admitted sheepishly and I nodded.

"Yeah, sure, I could really use a beer right now. Things are kind of rough between my mate and me." I took him up on his offer.

He smiled.

"Great, let me go get the car. I also have to see if Jordan wants to come, you know since his brother died. He could use some fresh air. By the way, the name's Jason." He told me and I returned the smile.

"A pleasure to meet you, and I think you already know my name." We chuckled and ten he left.

Angelina had yet I mention the death of her former boyfriend. I needed to ask her how she's holding up with that.

I walked out to the porch and found the Landon, Angelina's ex, sitting on the wooden rocking chair outside.

I stumbled back but he didn't even give me the time of day.

"He's gone. My brother is gone." He repeated as he rocked.

This wasn't Landon, this was Jordan, his twin.

"There he is." Jason walked out of the pack house and knelt beside Jordan.

"Hey, buddy, you want to come out for a drink?" Jason asked him but Jordan was too zoned out to realize that he was being spoken to.

"I don't think he's even close to coming around. Let him be for a few days and then see how he is. He's been traumatized, he saw his own brother get shot before his eyes." I told Jason and he nodded in agreement.

"Plus, he has to have time to accept his death. We're having his funeral tomorrow." I added.

"Alright then, I guess it's just you and me." He said and we went to his car.

Angelina's POV

The pack had yet to get over their fear from when I "awoke" from the casket. They were pretty disturbed about the whole situation, hell, I would be too if I were them.

I sighed as I picked up the next stack of papers and pulled it to me. This is what I chose to do to waste my time away. If I didn't do something like this, then I'd wallow in pain from Landon's death.

He's where he belongs now. Be happy. He's better off with his mate. My wolf comforted me.

Thank you for trying to make me feel better but how is he better off without his pack or brother? What about his parents? I asked her and she was silent.

He is with his other half. His parents and the rest of us will join them soon enough. He doesn't have to suffer anymore without his mate. She pointed out and I gave in.

You're right, I'm being selfish. He wanted his mate, that's what he's always wanted. I admitted and felt tears prick my eyes.

I pushed the stack of papers of the desk, making them rain to the floor.

I stood up from my desk and walked out my office.

"Angelina?" A quiet voice called and I turned to see Jordan.

He looked absolutely terrible. The anger faded from my eyes and softened as they reached his.

"Hey Jordan, how are you doing?" I asked, being gentle.

"I wanted to ask you if we could have Landon's funeral tomorrow with only you, me, Alison, and Jason. I don't want anyone else there. No one knows him the way we do." He asked, his jaw twitching as he struggled not to break down.

"Of course." I answered and stepped up to him, wrapping my arms around him.

He couldn't hold it in anymore and sobbed into my shoulder.

"I don't know what I'm going to do without him." He said, holding me tight to him.

His body was shaking as he cried but I didn't mind. I knew Jordan was going through a touch time.

"When I died, I ended up meeting him. He said that you were strong and I think you would understand better than anyone else, why he didn't come back." I comforted him.

"He always talked about his mate, Lillian. He never really gave her up. He just his his pain from you guys." He sniffled, and pulled back, wiping his face free of tears.

I took his hand.

"That's what he told me. He took Jessica as a surprise but she wasn't the one he wanted." I gave him a sad smile.

"I think he's happy now." Jordan concluded.

"I think he is too. He went to Heaven and now he's with his mate. We'll see him when out time comes." I told him and he nodded in agreement.

"Thank you, Angel, it's just really hard to function with him gone." He admitted.

"And that's ok, you need to mourn. Tomorrow you will be able to let him go and say you're goodbye, but remember Jordan, he will always be in your heart." I said.

"I know, thank you." He replied and stumbled off.
