Chapter 9

Monday arrived sooner than I hoped. I walked into the gym and took my normal seat. Soon, I saw Tailgate walk into the room. He looked at me, then walked to the other side of the gym. Finley came and sat beside me. "This sucks," she stated. I nodded. Soon, Meghan walked in. For the first time, I noticed she was starting to show. Meghan went and sat down with Tailgate, leaning her head on his shoulder. Finley frowned, "What a slut." She gasped, "I'm sorry, I'm just really upset." I shook my head, "your right." She looked at me. "I'm sorry this happened, I know you really liked her," she said. I nodded, "same for you and Tailgate." She shook her head, "he should have told me." I nodded. She was right. That was when the bell for 1st block rang. "See yah," she said sadly. I waved goodbye. I didn't feel like going to 1st block, or any class for that matter. I went to the boy's bathroom, hoping James would be in there. Of course, he was. I sat down beside him. "You look like you could use some," James stated. I nodded and took a blunt. I lit it up, and smoked it in silence for a bit. "Tailgate got Meghan pregnant," I said sadly. James sighed and said, "yeah, I heard. It's all around school. How's Fin taking it?" I shook my head, "not too well. She misses him." James nodded. Then, he got a terrible idea. "You could show them up." I looked at him, "What? How?" James laughed, "hook up with Finley." I was shocked. "I couldn't," I replied. James laughed again, "yeah you could, at her party this weekend." I shrugged. James said, "she'll have booze, you too just need to get drunk enough." I laughed, "yeah, right." James shrugged, "just an idea." I checked my phone. 1:30. "The days almost over already?" James laughed, "yeah, pot helps." I laughed. We stayed in the bathroom laughing and talking until the bus bell rang. As we headed towards the buses, James said "just remember what we talked about." I rolled my eyes and jumped on my bus. Yeah. Right.
