"Doctor!"
Hoseok turned in his spot, the edges of his lips curling up as he saw the beaming face.
He looked so different, less tired, less...gentle.
With stronger features. Like he'd fully recovered though there was nothing there in the first place."How're you feeling?" he asked, being the doctor he was. It was one thing to treat a patient, but another to ask them to meet on friendly terms.
"Better, really. The treatment makes me think more single-mindedly. I don't know what it is in there, but it could be magical."
Of course he couldn't tell the smiling man that it was nothing but sedatives that practically killed the other person.
"Ah, the power of modern medicine, huh?" Hoseok awed as believably as he could. He was always told to assure patients anyways.
Nobody really told him how to.They shared a brief, comfortable silence as Jimin stirred the tea that he'd brought along. He was dressed in a simple black shirt, jeans, and a scarf, probably because his doctor told him he could. Hoseok didn't have this kind of access to information anymore, as far as Jimin was concerned.
"Why'd you call me here?" the blonde haired man asked, not demandingly, though there was a tone of question to it. Who wouldn't question a doctor asking his own patient to go for drinks?
Moreover, they were at the hospital cafeteria. Not somewhere friends went for drinks.
"Do you happen to have any experience with sleepwalkers?"
It was Hoseok's turn to pick up his stirrer. He watched the cream blend into the darkness of the brew. A murky kind of dark, not the premium coffee bean kind.
"Not much, why do you ask?" Jimin settled both his hands around his styrofoam cup, trying his best to conserve warmth in the cold weather.
"I have a sleepwalking patient, can't divulge much of it, but I was hoping you'd have some information on how I could-you know- make sure stuff goes smoothly."
The meet was impromptu; Hoseok had the strangest spurt of inspiration when he was treading home in the breeze. He recalled that when he was treating Park Jimin, he'd seen something about sleepwalking on his report.
Sure, he could've just asked Namjoon about the characteristics of sleepwalkers, but some stupid inkling inside him told him that calling Jimin would be a good idea. He'd spent a solid ten minutes tracking the whereabouts of his patients (it was pretty easy) and getting permission from the doctor who took the case.
"Well, I'm sure you know the rule of thumb to never wake a sleepwalker up-I heard it makes them violent or something," Jimin raised an eyebrow, "but then again when they wake up they'll be confused as hell because they don't know what they did."
"Heard they could kill people in their sleep too." he shrugged, before taking another gulp of tea.
Of course Hoseok knew that people could kill in their sleep.
"Do you suppose I'll need to...protect myself...in some way or another?"
"I mean, you should be prepared for when they wake up. I saw somewhere that they walk around but can find their way back to their beds, but I'm not sure if it's true."
