Single Mother

Chapter 7

Killian's POV

I was working in the park like I do when I just need to think when I heard a small voice yelling my name. Then I saw the face of the little one and it was Emma's daughter.

"Hi Killian. What you doing?" Lily asks me.

"Just working. Should you be running around without your mother?" I ask her.

"Mommy is over dere." She says and points at Emma.

"Okay. Well why dont you go back to your Mommy." I say.

"No. I want to sit by you." She says and sits beside me.

"Umm okay." I say.

I tried to get back to work, but Lily wouldnt stop talking and bothering me. She is just like her mother and its adorable well on her on Emma its just annoying.

"Lily you shouldnt be bothering Killian. How about you go and play." Emma says.

"But I wanna sit by Killian." Lily says.

"Actually little lass I should be going. I'll see you around small one and Emma I'll see you tomorrow at work." I say.

"Uhh yeah. See you then." Emma says.

"Bye Killian." Lily says.

I got up and walked away. I couldnt be around them any longer. Its not that Lily was bothering me and its not that Emma was being an issue. Its just some how being around both of them is starting to make me feel something. I just dont quite understand it.

"Hey Jones are you okay?" David asks.

"Yeah. Why?" I question.

"Oh it just looks as if you have seen like a ghost or something." He says.

"No not a ghost." I say.

"Are you sure? Killian.... You havent heard from.... Them have you?" He asks.

"God no. David just trust me. When I said thats in my past I meant it. I believe they wont come back again. Now drop it." I say.

I walked away from him and realized why I really wanted to leave Emma and Lily. I cant get to close to anyone cause if my past comes back anyone can get hurt. I just cant let that happen not again.
