Chapter 10

Emma's POV

I have been looking for clues for awhile and I could have sworn I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. I didnt care about the sound and continued to look around. I then heard that noise again and pulled out my gun and faced the door.

"Blood Hell Swan! Its just me." Killian says.

"Hey you said to be on guard. Why are you here I thought you had something else to do." I say putting the gun away.

"Well things change. Swan I hate to do this, but your off the case and suspended until further notice." He says.

"You cant do that." I say.

"Your right he cant, but I can. Im sorry, but this case goes alot further then you realize. Until Killian solves it Im sorry Emma, bur dont worry it will be a paid suspension." David says.

"David come on I should help. Arent I suppose to help him with cases? It thats my job then I want to help ." I say.

"And you will. Just not with this case." He says and walked out.

Killian then followed after and when I saw David leave out the door I quickly grabbed Killian's arm.

"So you finally did it. You found away to do this on your own. God you just didnt quit until you got what you wanted. Well congrats." I say.

"You think I wanted this... Well yeah I have always wanted to do all this alone, but David said no you have to work with Emma Swan. It was David's choice he just saw how dangerous this is for you to be apart of. So Im sorry love, but David made up his mind." Killian says.

"Is this because Im a girl? Do you men think I can handle myself?" I question.

"No love believe it or not I think you could handle anything. Its just this isnt your fight." He says.

He had then realized what he said and started to try and walk away again.

"What does that mean? Is there something your not telling me?" I ask.

"Swan stop! Stop it right now! It means that there are somethings that newbies cant get involved with. So stop trying. Im not telling you anything except that if you get involved things will your daughter a target. So do us all a favor and go home until we call for you back. Can you do that?" He questions.

"I might be able to go home and wait to be brought back in, but I will not give this up. I will learn the truth wether you like it or not." I say and walked out.

I dont know what Killian is hiding and I dont know why David is helping him. Though I will get to the bottom of this I just have to. Killian has a secret and I will find out what it is. Its only a matter of time before I find out myself or he tells me. It will most likely be the first one, but it doesnt matter. All that matters now is that I will learn the truth. Though weirdly enough I have a feeling Killian is just trying to protect Lily and I. Nah... He wouldnt do that... or.. Would he?
