Today, my parents dragged me into one of those boring piano concerts. I hated living in such a snobbish family. Today's pianist would be a young woman. Riko Sakurauchi. Never heard of her tho.

My parents and I had our seats in the front line just like always. Shortly after we had arrived, a young woman with long dark red hair stepped on the stage. She seemed really nervous.

"Dear Guests, welcome to our concert. Today, Miss Riko Sakurauchi will present us her "Sound of the Ocean"." The announcement came from the speakers. She bowed before the audience and looked very nervous and scared. She looked in my direction as if she needed some help. I formed a "You can do it"now with my lips.

She seemed to calm down a little and sat down in front if the piano. Her fingers then danced over the piano as if it was nothing. It was a beautiful song. Is this really what the Ocean sounds like? I wished I could've heard that song forever. It was the first time I enjoyed coming to a piano concert with my parents.

While she played, I noticed some kind of bracelet around her wrist. It was a light pink and had a white polka dot pattern on it. The color of it matched with her dress. That bracelet seemed kind if special. I wondered what it could mean to her.

After a while, she stopped playing and stood up. She bowed in front of the clapping audience. She looked at me again. "Meet me Backstage." Is what her lips formed after a smile. I rushed away from my parents. "Sorry, go without me! I have business to attend!" I knew they wouldn't come after me. They didn't really care after all.

---

"Thanks a lot." She whispered, her back was turned to me. "Your warm smile, that gentle expression... It kinda calmed me down. I was way too nervous and scared. What if I'd make a mistake? I wouldn't forgive myself." She turned around and smiled at me. "You helped me a lot." She giggled.

"You don't have to thank me Miss." I replied casually. "Miss? I'm only 16! Call me by my first name. I'm Riko!" She held her hand towards me. I took it gently and shook it. "(Y/n)." I said with a smile.

---

"Whoa, so you're an Idol?! That's so cool! Can I hear one of your songs?" I was really interested in what she told me about her. She turned a little red. "It's a bit embarrassing." She giggled a little unsure. "But here." She played a song called "Guilty Eyes Fever", where she was the centre. She also showed me another one where the whole group sang. It was called "Mijuku Dreamer". "I have to admit that your voice is totally amazing!" I said. I had looked at the screen of her phone and saw one of her suggested videos. "Yume no Tobira? It's from  μ's isn't it?" I laughed.

She looked at me surprised. "You know μ 's?" She asked. "Well, of course I do! They were everywhere in Japan!" I smiled. "Yume no Tobira is my favourite song." I added. She smiled at me. "What a coincidence." She sat down at the piano. "It's my favourite too."

She then began to play Yume no Tobira and sang along. I just sat there and looked at her with calm eyes. It was relaxing. Her voice was so relaxing.

"You sing so beautiful..." I got up and stepped beside her. On the Piano was a small notebook with notes in it. I picked it up and looked through the notes. On the last written page was a title, but without notes. There were some, but they were crossed out.

The title read "What Love sounds like". I looked at her. "Why don't you write that song?" I asked. She looked away. "It's the same with the sound of the Ocean. I don't know what it sounded like before. Same goes for love. I've never experienced what love feels like, or what it sounds like.

I stepped behind her. She was still sitting at the piano. "Put your hands on the keys." I ordered. When she did that, I placed my hands on hers. My hands were bigger than hers, so you could barely see them underneath mine. I could feel her heart beat faster. I then moved her hands a little and made her press some keys.

When I removed my hands she kept on playing by her own, creating a beautiful tune. I stood beside the piano and smiled at her. "I guess that's what love sounds like, Riko." I chuckled and stepped next to her again.

I lowered my head and kissed her on her lips. It was a passionate kiss. And I could feel it. I felt how she finally understood the sound and feeling of love. A silent "thank you" escaped her lips as I let go off the kiss. After that evening, we met each other almost every day and became a couple shortly after that.
