"Good morning." I calmly greeted Hanamaru as I walked into the library I worked in. Just like every morning. She was sitting at the counter and gave me the same smile as every day. "Good morning, (y/n)!" Hanamaru was currently putting some books into what seemed to be an alphabetical order. Behind her was a huge mountain of messy books. They all just laid on top of another. I sighed. "Do you maybe need some help?" I asked. Hanamaru looked at me with a quite exhausted look on her face. "That would help a lot, zura...!"

---

"There was that one man that threw around all those books." Hanamaru sighed as we placed the books back in their shelves. "I couldn't stop him! He just ripped all the books out of their shelves and screamed!" Her expression was kind of annoyed, but mostly exhausted. It's probably not that easy to stand up against a man when you're so small and silent.

"Thanks a lot for your help..." Hanamaru gave me a small, innocent smile. "I wouldn't be this fast if you weren't here!" She added. I just looked at her a little surprised. I then turned my head towards the shelf again and smiled to myself without even noticing it.

"Z-zura! You smiled!" Hanamaru had a little fright in her tone. "Hey! Don't act like I don't have emotions!" I shouted. Hanamaru giggled. "Come on, it was a joke. I'm happy to see you smile for once in a while."

I turned red and looked away again, my chin raised up. "Nevermind." I mumbled.

---

"Hah! That was hard!" Hanamaru let herself fall into one of the small couches in the library. She wiped a few drops of swear off her forehead. I looked at the clock hanging above her. "It's already lunch break. Let's go and have a coffee. Food goes on me this time." I winked at her.

Her eyes began to sparkle as she looked at me. She immediatly got up and rushed to the cafeteria. Just like always when it's about food.

---

"It's so tasty, zuraaa~" Hanamaru mumbled with a full mouth. "Swallow before speaking!" I always need to remind her of her manners. She rolled her eyes. "Okay, okay, Mom." She chuckled.

I clicked my tongue and took a sip of my coffee. "You sometimes are a bit too stern and serious, (y/n)." Hanamaru said. "You often won't let people have their fun. Just let them be!"

I looked at Hanamaru surprised. I never saw that side of her before. Her eyes were serious. She was serious.

I looked down. "You think so?" I said kind of hurt. I never knew I'd be that harsh sometimes.

Hanamaru got up and leaned over the table to hold up my chin. She looked directly into my eyes. She was completly different in that moment.

"You sometimes are too hard on your friends. But I know that you're even harder on yourself." She gave me a quick kiss on my forehead.

"Thanks for the food. Let's get back to work, Okay?" She smiled at me. I just sat there, completely red and confused.

What exactly did just happen?
