Chika x (f) Reader - You're odd, you know?

"Chika, we're going to be late!" I shouted at her sleeping figure. She turned around. "5 more... minutes..." I clenched my fists. "That's it Chika!"  I lifted up the matress so she'd fall to the ground.

Her eyes slowly opened. "Ugh... What?" She looked at the clock in shock. "Waaah! I must get ready!" She shouted and ran out of her room.

"Hello, my name is (y/n). I'm Chika's exchange student from (country)." Everyone in the class looked at me with big eyes. "She's cute!" I heard a girl mumble. "Wow, she's pretty. Why are all the good looking from overseas?" Another girl groaned. I stood there and looked down. I felt a bit anxious.

"Nice to meet you!" A girl in the crowd happily shouted. She had light brown hair and big light blue eyes. They shined very bright as she smiled at me. "Welcome!" A girl next to what I suppose was Chika's seat said. She had very long reddish hair. She gave a warm smile.

"Why didn't you tell us that you'd have an exchange student over?!" Riko asked angrily. You stepped beside me. "She's so pretty!" She giggled.

Chika stuck out her tongue playfully. "Well I... just kinda forgot to tell ya. Sorry!" She giggled. Riko looked at her with a piercing look. "Chika." Chika gulped. "Tell. Us." Riko then smiled as if nothing happened and turned around. "Let's have lunch on the rooftop!" You shouted and quickly ran up the stairs, followed by Riko.

Chika and I normally walked up. "You're going to meet the others now as well." She happily announced. "Others?" I asked in confusion. "Well, the members if our school idol group!" She opened the door where 8 other girls seemed to wait for us. "Welcome to Aqours!" They said in a choir.

All of them were really nice. They told me everything about school idols, how it is and stuff. I really had fun that day. I also watched them as they practiced. But something feeled wrong? Chika wasn't happy while they practiced. She seemed kind of distracted by something.

I decided to confront her when we walked home. "Say Chika... what's been bothering you during practice?" I asked while looking at the orange coloured sky. She didn't want to answer. She looked embarrassed, sad... I didn't know what to do... so I just hugged her.

"Don't worry. You can tell me! I would never judge you for anything, and you know that." She looked at me with a serious face. "Promise you won't laugh?" She asked. I nodded.

"I... was jealous... you we're so "close" to the other's today... You totally forgot about me..." Chika mumbled. "Ah... Chika..." I muttered. I didn't find the right words to say.

I then smiled at her. "Chika, I'd never forget about you. You did a lot for me already." She stopped walking, and so did I. "All our calls we had before I got here, the days we spent together... I know that we haven't known each other for that long yet, but you're still someone I wouldn't treat for anything else in the world!" I said.

Chika smiled again. "Ah... (y/n)... I..."

"I love you!" She smiled and hugged me tightly.

I hugged her back and giggled. "You're odd you know?" I whispered.
