George's POV
As the party goes later and later the children start to go gome leaving the young adults and family memebers of the two families. I find a seat of in the corner and nurse my wine with a smile, I'll glance up at Philip and my eyes will find his. I'll blush and look away.
"What are you gringing at ?" Theodosia asks as she sits next to me, Theo's on her shoulder fast asleep. Her eyes study me, I bite my lip and look away.
"Philip." I whisper
"I thought we hated him?" She cocks her head and looks between us. I shake my head and look at Philip again.
"He made up for everything he did." I smile at her and play with one of his pins he gave me. "He kissed me."Her eyes widen and smile drops.
"I'm sorry,what?" She gulps and cranes her neck at me.
"He kissed me on the bridge." I bite my lip. And smile to myself with a giggle.
"George! He's married!"she growls and smacks my knee.
"He said he was sorry. "
"How many times has he said that?" I open my moutg to protest and she sighs."that's what I thought. "
"Theo, I love him." Her eyes soften and she looks down.
"I know. I know you do.' She hugs me and kisses my cheek in a sister like way." Come home when youre done here. Im taking Theo home."
I nod and smile after them.
"I thought you were dead." A hand closes on my shoulder and I freeze. John.
