Chapter Sixteen

John's POV

"We gotta go." I nudge Charles with my elbow in the morning.  He groans and cracks a eye open, he sighs and lays his head on my shoulder.

"What's the rush? Am I that ugly?" He smirks.  I roll my eyes and push him away when he pursed his lips for a kiss.

"Yeah, kind of." I smile and start putting my shoes on. I kiss his cheek and smile." Nah, I'm joking love."

"Then whats the rush?" He purrs. His hair goes blond and eyes go blue and brown.

"Aaron." I sigh and his eyes widen. He sits up and gulps, he pales.

"Good point." He starts looking for his street clothes. " Are they even going to let me leave?"

"No." I shake my head.

"Then how am I going to get out?" He sighs.

"Run." I smirk . He laughs and shakes his head as he pulls on a shirt.

"I don't run John. " He shakes his head.  I hum and press kisses behind his ear down to a senstive spot on his neck. He turns a bright red and freezes up.

"For me?" I purr into his ear. He nods quickly and looks at me with heart filled eyes.

"Of course dear." He actually runs faster then me, he beats me to my car as I fumble for the keys. I look up and my eyes widen. A silver car is pulling into the parking garage. That's Aaron's car.

"Oh fuck me gently. " I growl and scramble into the far, Charles ducks and watches as the car drives by at a slow rate. We both breath again as it goes to the next level.

"I'm ready to go." He's as white as a sheet of paper as he crawls out of the car." Are you ready to go?"

"Im ready to go." I nod and start the car. I back up as fast as humanly possible, Charles screams and hangs onto the dashboard as we book it for the exit . And we almost make it.

We can both see the exit, I start at a calm speed down the ramp until I see Aaron pull out from an  aisle . And we make eyecontact.  His eyes widen and we both freeze up, he slowly pulls out do he's blocking the exit and gives a wild smile. His eyes trained in on me like a hawk on its pray.

"John, John move the fucking car before he kills us." I nod and slam the car into reverse. Charles screams out as we start racing back past aisle.  I start screaming in responseas Aaron starts driving twoards us slowly. He's going to back us into a corner.

"Im going to stop the car and we have to run to the top level. Got it?" I unbuckle my seat belt and Charles nids nervously.

"Iloveyou." He spits out so fast I almost dont understand him. I stop tje car and look at him with wide eyes.

"W-what?" But he's already out of the car racing for the ramp. I follow his led and take long strides for the exit. I pump my arms and hug the corner,trying to not fall. If I fall I'm screwed, I can hear the roar of Aaron's engine racing to find another way up. I swear when I catch the headlights.

I barely have time to get out of the way as the car comes barreling up the ramp and shoots past me in a blur. I gasp and watch the harsh tire tracks appear as he slams on the breaks to  stop. I look at Charles who's frozen and fear and he looks back at me.

"I love you too. " I pull him into a kiss and we both look at the car as the door slams shut.

Holy fuck he has a gun.

"Alright that's sweet and all, but now what smart one?" He huffs.  I throw my hands up and we both start backing up.

"Beats me!" My voice cracks and our backs hit the railing to keep from falling five stories. I look over the edge and wind whips my hair back out of my face. Too far to jump, we're not angels.

"What's the matter John? You look scared to see me." Aaron croons as he slowly stalks twoards us. My eyes light up and I look at the building next to us. 

"Never, why would you scare me?" I sneer at him.Charles is a shape shifter.  He could fly across. He looks at me, reads his thoughts, and shakes his head.

"No way. Not going to happen."I nod and take his cheeks in mine. 

"You have too." I say softly and he looks between me and the gap." One of us has to get away, and it's the best thing we've got."

"Scared for your new little toy John?" He laughs.

"No. Im not going it." I grit my teeth growl. I pick him up and throw him over the side. He screams but does exactly what I thought he was going to do. With two people flying across wouldve been two heavy. But he glides across after wings wrapped and made out of clouds and snow appear.

He stumbles onto the roof and whips back around to look at me. He pants and jaw drops open. He shakes his head and runs back to the edge. I turn to Aaron and my eyes narrow. I grit my teeth and straighten my back.

"Your highness. " I bow deeply and growl at the ground.
