Chapter 7: The Past

PLEASE READ AUTHOR'S NOTE BELOW!! VERY IMPORTANT!!!

BENS POV: "I love you too Ben", I felt complete, free, and happy again. I never wanted this moment to end but it did. Soon enough Finn came in and Rey and I quickly took a step back from each other. "Guys, General Organa and Luke would like to speak to you two. "We'll be on our way soon" I said. "Ok" Finn says walking away but accidently crashed into Poe. We walk down the halls to the control room where my mom and Uncle Luke were seated, the two with a serious face. "You guys I am so sorry for what I did. "Ben" my mom says with tears falling down her eyes as she hugs me. "I'm back" I said to her. Then I hug Uncle Luke "you've grown so much" he says with tears in his eyes."Please you two sit down" my mom says pointing to the two chairs. "We have something very important to tell you guys" Luke says. "Rey lets start with you", my mom says."Your dad was a pilot for the Resistance his name was John and your mom was the daughter of Obi-Wan Kenobi, also known as Ben Kenobi". "Meaning that your grandfather is Obi-Wan Kenobi". Your mother's name was Amata.

"Moving on John fell in love with Amata and they had a beautiful daughter named Rey. Your mom later left with a Jedi to learn the ways of the force to protect you from Snoke who sensed your powers and wanted you to turn to the Dark Side". "She left me with you while your dad was on a mission with the Resistance. I left you and Ben at Luke's academy while I was dealing with stuff". Sadly a month later your dad was killed in an explosion and Snoke killed your mother", "both died trying to save you". Mom says, I look to my right to see Rey with a ton of tears on her face, I hug to confort her and ask "How come I don't remember??". "We hid your memories at the back of your head to not remember this"."If you sensed this, Snoke would have already manipulated and killed Rey" Luke says.

Then a memory comes to my head. (P.s i'm writing here what happened throught both of their childhoods.) Rey is 8 and Ben is 10.

A girl walked out of the ship, she looked to be 8 years old and I was ten. "Hello nice to meet you!" She says with a huge smile on her face. "My name is Rey!!" "What's yours??". "Ben.. my name is Ben" I told Rey. Suddenly Uncle Luke comes and says "Ben I would like you to show Rey the academy please". "Ok uncle". We walk down as I look at Rey, that girl is full of light, joy. I can't say the same for myself as I was left apart from family and friends. "So how do you like the academy Rey??", "I love it!!!". "Good" I say leading her to her room. "Class begins tomorrow at 8:00 a.m, be sure not to be late". "Ok, goodnight Ben", "goodnight Rey".

REYS POV (Still on childhood) (I'll give you guys a head up when the childhood comes to an end)

I am woken up to sobs next door, I quietly walk towards the door to where I hear the sobs and see that it's Ben's room. I open the door to see Ben cry himself to sleep. I sit down on Ben's bed, "what's wrong Ben??". "I had this nightmare where there was this man with a red lightsaber, and he had a mask and was coming to kill me". "He wasn't Darth Vader". He adds. "I'm here now Ben, and it was just a nightmare". "Nobody will try to kill you". "Thank you" he says, "your welcome" I say giving him a tight hug. Little did I know I fell asleep in his arms. I woke up in the morning at 7:00 a.m to find that I'm in Ben's room, I remember what happened last night. I turn around  to find Ben not by my side, I quickly get up to get to my room and start changing, after I have my clothes on I rush to find Ben. I found him in the field looking at the view, "what are you looking at??" I ask him now seated next to him. He jumps up, "Rey oh my god you almost gave me a heartattack!!" He yells startled, "Sorry". "Thank you for last night Rey". "Anytime".

Three years later. Another memory comes in. Rey is 11 and Ben is 13.
BENS POV:

"Ben hurry up!!". "Today is the ceremony!!","we finally get our lightsabers!!". "I'm coming" I say as I walk out of my room, "And you told me I took forever to get ready". "I'm sorry I overslept!!" Rey laughs but then her smile slowly fades away, she started to feel super nervous when we were almost there, I felt and knew she was scared and nervous. "Don't be afraid I feel it too", "I'm not afraid, just kinda anxious about what color my lightsaber will be". "Fine", I said knowing she was lying we get to the training room where the ceremony was at. "There they are" I hear Uncle Luke say as we enter, the other students take their seats as we walk up the little stairs that lead to a type of stage. "Today two very important people will finally recieve their lightsabers, those two people are Ben Solo and Rey Kenobi", "now which one of you two will go first??". "Rey, you first". I tell her while looking at her, she grins at me and presses the button of the lightsaber, the color is blue like the color of the lightsaber of her grandfather. After she presses the button and the color is revealed, everybody stares and gasps in awe. "Your turn" Rey says. I gently press the button of my lightsaber and it's green, again everybody is in awe. After that we had a huge celebration and a duel.

Three years later. A new memory comes to my head. Rey is 14 and Ben is 16

REYS POV: Ben and I are training outside in the field. He looks so charming as we were training, I had developed a crush for him since I was eleven, about four years ago. But I knew two things: 1. Ben and I are best friends and if I tell him it might affect our relationship and 2. Jedi aren't suppose to fall in love. I sigh in dissapointment, "what's wrong Rey??" "Is something bothering you?" Ben asks me, "Nothing... why?" "You seem bothered about something". "I don't want to talk about it". "Rey" Ben says while lifting up my chin, "you can tell me anything.. trust me". "I do trust you Ben.. it's just complicated". Just as Ben was about to speak Master Luke comes and says "Shouldn't you two be practicing?" "Yes Master" we both say. "Meet me at my room at night and we will discuss this", I nod. When the sun was finally gone and the moon came out, I started to make my way towards Ben's room, I knock on the door.

BENS POV: I hear a knock on the door, I open it and Rey comes in. "You came", "Of course I did your my best friend" she says. "Sit down" I say pointing her to one of my chairs, she sits down and I sit on the other chair. "Rey what is bothering you?" "Like I said before Ben it's too complicated". I put my hand on top of hers. "Trust me if it's something about me or something bad I'll always be with you and be your best friend". "Ben I like you", "you are super kind, charming, honest, loyal, handsome and so many more great things about you", "I could talk about you all day"."I just don't know if you feel the same way about me" Rey says while looking sown at the floor. I can't believe she said that, the girl of my dreams said that!!. I gently move towards her face and cup her chin with my hand, she puts her hands on my neck and then our lips touched.
