X-locke (a Pokemon X nuzlocke)

Chapter 14

 "Shalour city!" Rachel exclaimed, running in circles.

"It's a pretty cool place, to be honest," Katie chimed in, flying freely in the sky. The city was busy and full of people, who assumed that Katie was another pokemon, a common mistake.

"We should train some of our pokemon though," Katie told Rachel, "The gym is Fighting-type and we have fragile forces."

Rachel gave that a thought. Aura, Yong, and Tammy would be a good idea, but Aura would be weak to dark, Yong is a new member, and Tammy's not resistant to Fighting-type moves. In addition, she didn't know many good Flying-type moves - Gust definitely didn't count.
"Good idea. There are some bug types and normal types that give good experience points," Rachel responded, preparing to walk to the route.

"Hey, Rach, what is up, yo!" Rachel turned to see Jazz and Hiko, two of Sky's club members and friends walking over.

"When will that fresh phase end!" Hiko groaned, sounding like Katie's grumpy self.

"Man, I feel like saying sorry to a whole region," Katie muttered under her breath.

"I'm just going to train and bump my pokemon a couple levels, maybe teach them some moves. I don't want to take too many risks," Rachel announced, then added "I lost my Amaura to some Houndour."

"I'm sorry for that. I hope they're still fresh in heaven!" Jazz comforted Rachel, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Aren't Houndour from the swamp?" Hiko asked, "Like, was it wild or tame?"

"Both," Rachel said, shocking both Jazz and Hiko. "It was a pokemon who was out for revenge on me. It got kicked from Team Flare because I messed up their fossil pokemon scheme,"

"Man, bummer, but - hey!" Hiko snapped as Fro came out of his pokeball.

"Hey, Rachel, how is Hardy?" Fro greeted, extending a paw. Rachel noticed Fro looked a little shaken up.

"Hardy has a girlfriend now," Rachel told the Froakie, who then congratulated Hardy. "Hiko, are you okay?"

Hiko snorted and then replied "Well, I lost that shiny Charmander I showed off to you, and Fro has been scared since," Rachel then put a hand over Hiko, he just sighed and then said bye.

"Well, we better go, yo!" Jazz waved farewell to Rachel and Katie.

"Well, with that out of the way, let's grind the grinding!" Katie announced, flying on a fence.

"Oh, no! I am a lost cat with nowhere to go!" Katie said in mock fear. Dozens of predator pokemon came out. Rachel called her team out for a training showcase. Yong and Gemmeni pulled their weight and helped Tiny when she got in trouble.

"Thanks, new guys!" Memma praised. They replied with a wave.

Hardy swung an attack at a Slowpoke and noticed Tammy had been quiet for a bit.

"Hey, Tammy are you...ok?" Hardy saw the cool Pidgeotto was glowing, her reddish hair turning blonde, her wings growing and her beak extending, and her talons sharper.

"Just evolving into Pidgeot!" Tammy replied, her voice lovely to Hardy's ears. She saw Hardy was red shelled instead of green shelled and chuckled at the enamored Pokemon.

"Nice job, welcome to third stage club!" Shelly cheered, hitting Tammy playfully.

"Thanks, and look out!" Tammy shot a wing attack at a Houndour, but it wasn't no ordinary Houndour, it's blood red eyes and grizzled mane was too familiar.
