"The gym is Bug-type, just so you know," Hiko mentioned as Rachel bought some medicine at the pokemon center.

"Thanks Hiko, how is Fro?" Rachel asked as the clerk called out, "Come again!"

"He's fine, but he doesn't want to evolve into Frogadier," Hiko replied to Rachel.

"Well, not every pokemon want to evolve - some like to stay in the first or second stage," Katie commented as she hopped into Rachel's backpack.

"By the way, there's a strong fire type on the route nearby," Hiko told Rachel as they left.

"Huh?"

"Some preschoolers are calling it the "Entei" of the route," Hiko snorted, "buncho nonsense if ya ask me," he then walked off.

Rachel and Katie looked at each other.

"No..." Katie started.

"Yes!" Rachel finished.

(On the route...)

"So, where's this super fire-type?" Katie asked.

A small mew echoed and Rachel stopped.

"Over here?" Rachel questioned.

The mew had come from an area near an abandoned sewer entrance that had been unused for months.

"I think we found our 'Entei,'" Katie mewed as they saw the figure.

It was a female Litleo - her ears were dark and her tail tuft was dark brown, her paws, muzzle, and front belly light yellow. She had the markings of the rare Dark-tuft Litleo, a type of Litleo that was just as rare as the Shiny variant of Litleo. Her ribs clung to her skin, her large watery eyes the same color of Hardy's blue and green.

"Who are you?" mewed the small female.

Rachel noticed her right ear had a nick, as if some other cub slashed it, but it looked too clean to be a cubs claws? An older cat perhaps? Who would main a cub like that?

"I'm Rachel and this is Katie, want some food?" Rachel quietly said, leaving an orange flavor Pokepuff for the cub.

The cub scrambled to the treat, devouring it in famished gulps.

"Thanks! I'm Lily, and you're a trainer right?" the Litleo said calmly and coolly.

"Yeah, where's your family lil one?" Rachel asked. The Litleo hesitated to respond.
"Not important," Lily sighed.

"Eh, so you're just going to live here forever?" Katie questioned.
"Not really, well I don't know what to do...say, you're different than other trainers," Lily commented.
"Huh?" Rachel asked, "well I'm not experienced, I started couple days ago.."
"You seem to treat me more than a Litleo, you treat me like a person," Lily scanned, "must be interesting on your team,"

"Wanna join our posse?" Katie jokingly asked.

"Sure!" Lily purred, her eyes gleaming in the dark.

I guess I'm not so lonely anymore, Lily thought as she went into the pokeball.

(Several hours later)

"Woo hoo!" Rachel exclaimed, the group was tackling the gym and Lily was getting all the gym trainers out of the way.

"I'm on fire!" Lily joyfully yelled as well, she looked to be having lots of fun.

"Alright we're at the leader." Katie meowed, eager to see a fight.

Rachel had chosen to use Tammy for the pure bug types and Hardy for the bug/flying type pokemon (for example, Butterfree), as he knew Rollout. Katie had said that it was risky, but as Bernie's poison sting was low on power and Lily was underleveled, Hardy was the best choice.

"Welcome to my gym!" said the gym leader, composed and calm.

"I'm Viola and I hope you got style, go Surskit!"

"Tammy, show your stuff!" Rachel called, summoning her Pidgey.

Surskit went down in a series of gusts.

A butterfly was sent out with a pink pattern.

"Vivillon, go!"

Rachel quickly switched from Tammy to Hardy.

"Hardy, use your rock n roll!" Katie sang out, blasting music from the stands.

Hardy curled up, using his body in a rock shape to attack the bug.

"Grr, you'll pay brat!" snarled the butterfly.

Small beetles crawled on Hardy's fuzzy body, biting into his skin, small drops of red beading up on his body.

"Ow!" Hardy stumbled onto the webs of the bug gym.

"Did you think a wimpy starter reject could defeat me?" Vivillon taunted, hovering over the wounded Chespin.

Hardy, oh no he's going to get hurt - maybe he's dead - I should be risking my neck! thought Tammy.

"Hardy, please get up! I believe in you!" Tammy called out to the Chespin.

Hardy looked to her and gave her a smile as his body gave off a calm blue glow and started to grow.

"My luck lately is over 9 thousand.." muttered Rachel in awe as Hardy started to grow bulky and his shell covered his back more and more.

Hardy sent a punch at the Vivillon, leaving cracks on the wall.

Tammy watched his bulky body turn and stared as she looked into his deep mystic eyes and

OMG Tammy. Stop. Fangirling, thought the red Pidgey as blood trickled from her nose.

"Uh, Tammy, you ok?" Hardy looked at himself.

He was a Quilladin.

He was a Quilladin
