Chapter 16

"So what was that again?" Katie asked Rachel, who then sighed.

"Can you fly me over this sea," Rachel replied, her head down. A small splash was heard, and Rachel and Katie turned to see a Lapras was swimming towards them.

"Can we help you?" Katie asked, extending a white paw. The Lapras then extended her neck, her head touching Katie's paw.

"I've heard about you from some fossil pokemon offshore. I know that you don't have a ride, so would you like me to be your transport? My name is Seasong, and I've wanted a trainer for a while," the Lapras called Seasong explained, her blue eyes meeting with Rachel's green.

"You sure?" Rachel asked the Lapras, who then nodded.

"If you have any water type pokeballs I'd like that," Seasong smiled. Rachel then took out a Dive Ball and put it to Seasong's forehead, capturing the Pokemon with a soft click.

"Popcorn done?" Katie snorted, amused. Rachel glared at her and called Seasong out.

"Where do you need me to take you?" Seasong asked as Rachel and Katie climbed on.

"Across the sea," Rachel asked and Seasong nodded She then began swimming forward.
"Never would've guessed you'd get a transport pokemon," Katie chuckled.

Rachel then proceeded to punch Katie in the face.

"Welcome back to our show!" Aura exclaimed on a stage conjured by the fourth wall.

"We're going to explain the logic of Ghost types!" Tiny chimed in as well.

"So you know Gemmeni was formerly a Riolu called Ruby, whose spirit possessed some prized gems and became a Sableye" Aura started, showing a photo of the smug Sableye.

"Well the thing is Ghost types have two types: some pokemon come from eggs, these are known as pure ghost types, and have a spirit of their own." Tiny explained, pointing to a Banette.

"And then there are Ghost types that are formed from 'Spiritual Remains.' These are a spirit possessing a treasured item," Aura continued.

"There is an easy way to tell the two apart: if there's a Ghost type with an egg move it is a reincarnated pokemon. Hatched Pokemon are 'mons with such a strong will to live that they come back to life. These Pokemon get a unique egg move, either from its past life or from its 'ghost parent,'" Tiny chimed in.

"So what are the chances of reincarnated ghosts, let's say re-ghost gaining past life memories," Aura asked Tiny, who then scratched her chin.

"Well, it's rare as a Shiny on his/her/their own, but if finding a loved one, or another cherished item, sometimes the memories are lost forever," Tiny told Aura.

"What's a shiny?" Aura asked and Tiny facepalmed.

"Thank you for listening to this AU explain..." Tiny muttered.

"Hey come on I wanna know, is it a pokemon with a move called Glitter Shiny?" Aura asked.

"So you heard about us from..?" Memma asked Seasong. They were near a ranch that had allowed them to stay for a short lunch break.

"I met this red dino that was really big and all spiky. He told me about some trainer and her cat that helped others out. I needed a place to stay, so I thought I might as well," Seasong explained before going back to her food.

"Wow, Rockstar evolved! He better not get into any trouble, we might have to bail him from the slammer," Tiny joked and Memma laughed as well.

"So, anyway I wanted to ask this before, but does anyone know what's the deal with that Pyroar?" Seasong asked, pointing to Lily. She was grooming herself in the shade. Rachel was relaxing with her and Katie was nearby, taking a catnap.
