Hey Baby,

Just got your letter today, almost cried when I pulled it out of the mailbox. I've only been like rushing home to check everyday.

Glad to hear that you're doing good. I miss you bunches!

Oh Aaliyah asked me to to tell you that she found the keys to your jeep and that you didn't hide them well. I stole em back by the way, hid them myself. But now I have them and, I hope you don't mind but I took it on a drive. It's where I feel you the most. It's where I can feel your energy.

You're mom asked me why I was wearing your ring around my neck, which I still am. When I told her that you gave it to me as a promise she almost cried. Said she was so proud of her son, to which I responded by thanking her for raising the most perfect boy in the world.

I love you Baby, and I'm counting down the days till you come home. 32 by the way. I can't wait to fall asleep in your arms again, and to see how ripped you are. God you gotta be looking so good.

Anyway, I hope you are doing good out there. Write as soon as you can. I love you so much! Continue kicking ass Babe!

Love you Baby!

With all the love in my heart,

Savannah.

He teared up when he read the letter. He took in a breath when he heard someone walking towards his little hiding area.

He found this little break between units that he sits in when he reads her letters because her letters always make him want to cry. He misses her so much, getting a letter from her makes his week.

"Mendes? What are you doing?"

"Just reading a letter from home Sir." He stands.

"Carry on then."

He looks back at the letter and he can smell her perfume on the paper. He could smell it on the first letter and he told her that when he wrote her back. Since then she makes sure to spray her letters so he can smell her when he gets them.

He was doing okay until she got to the part about his mom. That's where he teared up.

He rushed back to his unit and dug through the bottom of his bunk for his clean paper and a pen. He hunched over the paper so no one could see what he was writing. No one needs to know what he tells his girl.

"Oh look Mendes is writing that high school sweetheart." One of his brothers points out.

"Shut up Warburton." He says as he starts writing.

"What are you writing? All the things you gonna do to her when you get home?" He teases.

"Shut the fuck up, I don't talk about your girlfriend like that please don't talk about mine." He says staring at Geoff Warburton with fire in his eyes.

"Okay, sorry Mendes."

"Be respectful Warburton." Brian Craigen sticks up for Shawn. "We don't talk about each others girls."

"I know, sorry." Warburton sighs, starting to clean his shoes.

Shawn's still hunched over the paper, scribbling away.

Hey Babygirl,

You made me cry a bit with that last letter.

I'm doing good, just passed all my tests I needed to pass and moved up a bit in the unit. All my buddies are getting annoyed with me because I can't shut up about you.
